OOC: This is a class to learn the Kakuremino no Jutsu, Kage Shuriken no Jutsu, and Sakki Techniques. You do not need to learn all of these techniques, but if you post here, please, at least train one. This is not a standard RP thread, so please keep it light. Each of these jutsu require 2 paragraphs each in order to train. In total, at least 3 Basic Techniques must be learned in order to graduate to Genin.

Please refer to the Basic Techniques list for reference to these techniques.

IC: Upon entering the training grounds, students would be treated to the sight of a ninja who had that characteristic sense of disappointment that came from one who was expected to do the same thing every single week of his life with no end in sight. This class was all about three basic techniques, Kakuremino no Jutsu, or Cloak of Invisibility Technique, Kage Shuriken no Jutsu, or the Shadow Shuriken Technique, and Sakki, or Killing Intent.

"We'll start with Kakuremino no Jutsu. This technique requires a cloth that is somewhat similar to your surroundings, so make sure you come to battle prepared. When you are staying still, you lift the cloth in front of you and focus chakra into the cloth itself. Your chakra will make any edges or folds on the cloth fade away, meaning anyone who looks on at you won't be able to see you. Of course, anyone who looks at you from the side or from an angle will see you holding up a cloth in front of you like it will make a difference...so, its usefulness is limited. We have cloths here that will blend into the building behind you, everyone get one and try to make yourselves invisible."

~~~
"Next, we'll learn about Kage Shuriken no Jutsu. This technique uses two shuriken, thrown at the same time, but with one thrown in such a way that the first shuriken hides it from the target. When the target is busy avoiding one shuriken, they might completely miss the second and take a hit. Aim at the training dummy, but I'll be observing from here-I know this jutsu well enough that I can tell from the side if you did it right."
~~~

"Finally, we'll learn Sakki. This technique is fairly simple-you're using chakra to intimidate people. It's similar to Genjutsu, but not quite as complex. If you're much stronger than someone else, this can even terrify someone into not even fighting-letting you end a pointless fight before it even starts. None of you are going to be able to do THAT today, but I'll at least be able to feel if you're trying to intimidate me correctly. This jutsu doesn't require handseals, but eye contact is important. Try to intimidate me now. One at a time, please."

~~~
Once the instruction was completed, the instructor would write down the names of those who successfully completed each technique and allow the participants to leave. This was his life, day in and day out, and it never changed, not even the words he used, as he had long ago settled on exactly this phrasing.
OOC: Once you've completed this training, please post a thread here, using the Character Additions template. You may do this after each training session or when you've learned all the basics you intend to learn.
She frowned at the thought of learning how to throw shuriken, it was such a waste of time. The lack of aesthetics was saddening but she had no choice. Pulling out a pair of shuriken from her pouch, she joined the rest of the class in throwing practice, tossing the duo through the air towards the dummy. The duet of weapons struck on target without issue, but there was no synergy, they just flew. Two dancers on the wind, dancing to different beats. That was so not her.
Dipping back into her weapon reserves she tried once more, taking effort to release the first slightly before the second. They flew in sync for a few seconds, one hidden behind the other, but as time went on, they diverged and the second even missed the target completely. Sakura looked down at her fingers before setting herself on the ground, meditating on this technique for a few minutes before she felt ready to try again. The other students would no doubt continue to practice in earnest around her but it wasn’t something she was just going to get without understanding.
With her eyes closed, she rose to her feet, shuriken in hand. Twirling the metal disks between her fingers, she gently coated them in her chakra. Planning the throw in her head, observing the flight, envisioning the target finished. And then when she was ready, her eyes flashed open, immediately throwing the shuriken without any further thought, guiding them towards their target using the jutsu taught.
~~~

Sakura listened intently. Sakki, now here was some training that could let her kick loose and stop being the idol. She waited patiently, crouched on the ground, until every student had passed and she could do this in isolation. Some might have considered it cowardice, or a lack of confidence, but it was just the opposite. This was something she could already do.

“I hope you are ready Sensei.”

Rising to her feet, she locked eyes with her teacher immediately and let her chakra run wild within her body. A storm inside her. Burning. Until it reached its boiling point, rushing away from her body like invisible steam. Projecting it towards her sensei, trying to show him that she was ready to kill. The look of disappointment that she had come to see often let her know it wasn’t working. Of course it wasn’t. This wasn’t right. Her sweet smile slipped away from her lips.

Closing her eyes, she centered herself, letting her idol persona fall into darkness. She began cackling quietly to herself, her sweet smile replaced with a menacing grin. Slowly her sapphire orbs were exposed once more, no longer the innocent idol they were used to, now replaced with eyes of the insane. Her chakra was raging inside of her, but had not gone wild, held under strict control as she pressurized her intent. Locking eyes with her sensei, the urge to kill bubbled up inside her, that look of disappointment annoying her no end. And casually, she released the pressure, directing it all towards him.

“Is this enough...sensei?”

Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself back down to a standard tempo. The ability to shift gears calmly was something she had to learn for her job too.

The last day of classes. It has only been two weeks since she first began learning new techniques. Keiko thought that her time spent here at Akarigakure's Ninja Academy was too short. She would most definitely miss the student lifestyle of waking up early in the morning, heading to class, heading to the library, trying out the new techniques, and otherwise socializing with all the other students.

She sat down at her usual spot in the corner of the classroom and waited for the class to begin. The teacher soon came in with the same bored expression on his face but the Kaguya teen would almost with one hundred percent certainty miss his countenance that seemed indistinguishable from any other day.

The first technique for today was learning how to use chakra onto a piece of cloth to better hide yourself with against other onlookers. Set to the side was a rather large human-sized tarp and several walls surrounding them. Four to be exact. But they were to use it on the building adjacent from theirs. Keiko picked her own cloth and felt its weight in her hands as she carried it over the lawn to the other side. There, she covered herself with the material and sent her chakra through her hands into the cloth, using her imagination to mold and maneuver the tarp to make it look like it's a single flat wall.

From the side, one would be able to see her silhouette hidden underneath the cloth with her fingers sticking out of the edge, but from the front and only the front, it seemed like she completely disappeared. The teacher with the same bored look on his face waved her off and said, "Next."

Looks like she passed. Sweet. First one done and over with. She sat down and leaned her head against the wall of the classroom and watched all the other students have their try at the Kakuremino no Jutsu.

Kage Shuriken no Jutsu. More shuriken techniques. Keiko internally shuddered at the thought that there were more jutsu that required finesse and skill rather than using chakra. However, with both, shuriken jutsu and ninjutsu takes practice to learn and perform well with. So she shouldn't actually be complaining much. Last day. Let's finish it off with a bang! Yeah!

The basics for this technique was that she was to throw two shuriken at relatively the same time with the second hiding inside the shadow of the first. Same angle, same power, same trajectory, just at a different starting position. She thought back on what she learned with Shuriken Boujou and noted that she had to get the angle and timing right with her projectile to perform the technique successfully. Now with Kage Shuriken no Jutsu, she only had to throw two projectiles in the same way, just parallel to each other. This was by far a lot easier to perform compared to the former.

Keiko did not have any shuriken on her person so she went to the teacher before they were about to begin to grab a handful of them. Approximately three fit into each hand so she grabbed a total of six of the pointy metal objects. When she got into position to throw them at the dummy target, she dropped all but two of the shuriken onto the grassy ground.

She concentrated on her objective standing a few meters away and held two shuriken in her hand gingerly. Keiko had to hide the second shuriken inside the shadow of the first. She looked straight down. It was still early in the morning, although it was getting close to noon. The shadow was casting itself westward meaning that she had to shift her position a little bit to the left while throwing it at a lower elevation. Okay. All information needed was in her head. Now she just needed to apply it to real life. The Kaguya teen looked back up at the target standing non-threateningly in the distance. She raised her right arm to be level with her shoulder and tossed the first shuriken in a quick fluid motion. The girl immediately moved to her second position and crouched slightly, throwing the second a half second after the first. She watched how the two projectiles span in tandem with each other while racing towards the dummy. Two hollow thuds could be heard from the practice target as it got impaled by the shuriken.

Keiko glanced back at the teacher who nodded in acceptance at her shoddy work. Her green orbs circled back to the target and down to the ground. She picked up the four remaining shuriken and headed back to the teacher to deposit. Kage Shuriken no Jutsu complete. One more to go. A smile crept onto her lips.

"The final jutsu you will learn today.." started the teacher as he began to explain the basics of Sakki. He glanced over at Keiko who experienced firsthand the type of jutsu Sakki was. She had it remembered deep in her mind how she felt when he first performed the technique on her when she messed up with her shuriken jutsu. The Kaguya teenager thought about how she could intimidate the teacher with her jutsu. One thought popped into her mind after a couple of minutes of thinking. Something only she can do, or rather someone with her bloodline can do.

When it was finally her turn, she stepped up towards the teacher facing him just two meters away. She looked straight down at the ground in front of her and closed her eyes. She would intimidate him alright. What Keiko had in mind was something of a mix compared to the regular Sakki. With her left hand, she would lower the robe on her right shoulder without moving her head. It would feel rather uncomfortable for her, but the Kaguya's shoulder would move slightly on its own accord as if it was pushing against the skin. Two seconds later, her skin split and a bit of blood started dripping down as her humerus began pushing itself out from the top.

She reached out behind her back with her left hand and as if she was pulling out a long sword from her back, grab the humerus by its 'hilt' and swiftly tear it out of her arm. Simultaneously, she would raise her head and give the teacher her most scariest face she could muster, one she saw firsthand a day ago by none other than the teacher himself. Keiko poured her chakra into her eyes as she stared right into the teacher's, her demeanor more menacing by the fact that she took out her own bone from her body and waved it in front of her like one does a dagger.

Most probably the teacher was less intimidated as he was more concerned about the condition of his student's arm as her right hung limp without any muscle movement. In either case, he mentioned that she had most definitely passed and was probably one of the most competent he ha seen in a while at this jutsu technique.

With that said, Keiko relaxed and shoved her humerus back into position, much to the disgust of everyone around them, herself included. It would heal rather quickly and the Kaguya member sat herself down onto the grass for about thirty minutes to recuperate before heading out once everyone was done with the technique.

And just like that, she was done with her training. Whoopie.

OOC: Kage Shuriken no Jutsu training.

Kage Shuriken no Jutsu...he had never heard of it, but there weren't a lot of jutsu that he had actually heard about before. Hanzo wasn't a big fan of using ranged weaponry as he found it to be a tad cowardly, being a close combat specialist and all. However, he could not deny the utility of throwing weapons and the like. After all, when push comes to shove all rules fly out the window and the only thing that matters are to not be the one sleeping in a pool of their own blood. The boy chuckled slightly as it reminded him of his father's lessons.

And such he pulled out a pair of shurikens after listening to the teacher on how it's done. It seemed simple enough and he had always been rather talented at using weapons in general, although his talents didn't really involve the shuriken. Anyhow, as mentioned earlier the actual task of throwing one shuriken after the other to create a "shadow" seemed simple enough.

Hanzo threw the shuriken as instructed, but to no avail, and for some reason or another it seemed like it would fix itself by staring at the non-moving weaponry intensely.

There were nothing to do really except to try again and that was something that Hanzo had gotten quite used to ever since he persuaded his father to start training him, especially has he had gotten his ass handed to him so many times by said parent. So Hanzo prepared another pair shuriken and gave it a bit more thought this time than simply chuck the projectiles one after another. There wasn't really a lot more to it, but he did need to time his throws better and so he did. This time around it was more of a success than the first attempt.

After a few moments he would give the teacher a questioning look, whom in return simply nodded.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: Sakki training.
Hanzo liked the idea of being able to scare an opponent by just looking at them, while it wasn't really his style to stop people from fighting him, weak or strong, it still somehow appealed to him. He wasn't really sure how to do it as he wasn't really adept at utilizing chakra, but judging by the teachers explanation it didn't to be too difficult, just charging your eyes with chakra and then look at someone.
And such he just made a single handseal, simply to focus, and focused chakra into his eyes. He could feel the chakra fill up his eyes and it felt...weird. As someone who rarely used chakra in such a way it was really odd to feel the energy pulsating through his eyes. It felt as if it was ready, now all he needed was a victim so he looked around for a bit. He couldn't find anything, so just for shits and giggles and would make eye contact with a different student and release the jutsu.
Sadly, all it amount to was him getting a weird look and a slap across the face by the girl he chosen to glare at. Back to the drawing board.
Once again he focused chakra into his eyes, this time without the handseal as the jutsu in question actually doesn't use handseals, and once again he felt the chakra fill his eyes. The teacher did say that the target would have more effect on someone or something and such Hanzo was looking for something that was weaker than the girl from before.
He found a chinchilla scuffling around the area minding its own business. A grim smirk found its way over Hanzo's face. With a bit of effort he managed to actually make eye contact with the rodent and activated Sakki. The chinchilla screech and froze in place. "Did it work?" Hanzo mumbled for himself as there was a possibility that the rodent would do this anyway, it would basically be dead if the boy did try to kill it even without using Sakki. He rubbed his chin for a few second while observing the terrified chinchilla.
Judging by the lecture he got from the teacher afterwards, Hanzo had learned to use Sakki...
Sharingan Ninigi walked into the training area with his eyes squinting, he was trying to make his sharingan less visible, but it wasn't like anyone was paying attention to him. Today he would be learning a couple useful jutsu and he wanted to get everything right as quickly as possible. He listened to the instructor with an undivided attention and once the shinobi was done, he would pick up two shuriken, ready to start his jutsu learning; Kage Shuriken. He had decided to go with the projectile technique as that was one of his strong points.
He looked at a distant dummy and hurled the first shuriken, watching its path of flight carefully with the other shuriken, he would let it sink into his target before he threw the second one along the same flight path. The second shuriken would slightly miss the other but would sink into the target as quickly as the other. I should actually be throwing them at the same time. He walked over to the dummy target and pulled out his shuriken, ready to attempt the jutsu again. He would put the shuriken around his fingers and would keep his on the target. Here I go again. Kage Shuriken
The advantage that the sharingan gave him was that he was perfectly able to assess the trajectory of his projectiles midflight, and thus he didn't actually require feedback from the instructor. Too Close or ? He walked over to the dummy and thought about the line of sight of his target for a moment. The level he threw the shuriken in battle would matter, even though he hadn't been thinking about it now. The idea was to put the other shuriken in the shadow of the first from the point of view of the target. Easy...right. He was walked back from the training target for what would eventually be the last time.
Kage Shuriken The Uchiha boy would throw both his shuriken again once more, aiming for the neck of the target. He would observe closely as the other shuriken hid behind the first, both hitting the throat of the target at the same time. That was good. He would take a sit and clasp his hands as he took a sigh. On to the next one.
The next jutsu he thought was worth learning was the intimidation technique. Still equipped with his sharingan, and having listened to the lecture by the instructor, Ninigi would proceed to put theory into practice. He walked up to the instructor with his eyes opened only slightly and looking at the ground. He was counting on the element of surprise, but perhaps that wouldn't help him much here. As no one was practicing with the instructor at this time he would be able to confront him. "Sensei, I wonder if..." Raising his gaze to lock eyes with the instructor's, he would attempt Sakki. His eyes red with two tomoe swirling around the pupil. "...you've been put into a trance today"
Nini would maintain constant eye contact with the teacher, keeping himself from blinking with a little bit of effort. He tried to stir up his chakra deep inside to give off a disturbing vibe, he didn't have that killing intent for the teacher but he wanted him unsettled."You didn't too much about other using other means to intimidate you?" He would then form a frown on his face to convey at least his being displayed. "Were you scared? With that he would stop swirling the tomoe in his sharingan, he wondered if his teacher was paying attention or had become lost in his eyes. It was very possible that neither had happened, but neither was the desired effect.
Now the space between Ninigi and the teacher would become filled with silence as they remained in this "staring competition". Of course the Uchiha boy would have blinked a few times along the way,
but his gaze remained fixed. What intimidates a man? Is it a sword, the threat of the sword? Or a mirror, or a crystal ball ? The thought of the future, or the now? He couldn't wrap his head around it, when would his efforts bring forth fruit. How long would he have to go at it before the teacher finally felt something. He wondered, was the disparity in power too great, or was he in denial of the intimidation brought forth by the prince of the Uchiha? How much longer-
Just when the thought he couldn't afford to keep trying the instructor signaled to him that he was good to go. Great. He would switch off his sharingan and take a huge sigh of relief. He had a headache now and would need to leave to pour some water to cool down his head.
Exit
