The training system has received an update. Certain benefits were judged, after having observed their use in practice, to have been too powerful.

In accordance to the shifts in the Genjutsu system, training away the inability to move during genjutsu is no longer an option, having been replaced with reducing required concentration to standard levels instead. This stacks with the ordinary concentration cut, allowing genjutsu to reach the same level of concentration as other jutsu.

Training handseals away has been altered to being able to cut the required handseals in half. The benefit may be trained again to allow the required handseals to be cut to 1 handseal. Jutsu that already require only 1 handseal may not be trained in this way.

Training a blurred movement onto taijutsu has been altered to doubling the user's Strike Speed in relation to that movement.

*If you have trained any of these features that no longer apply, you may request to have the training benefits given to another jutsu instead.* Make these requests in the Character Additions subforum, specifying that you are shifting a benefit.

You do not need to immediately change the wording of your training benefits on your profile, but from today onward, if the benefit is observed on your profile, it is to be interpreted as the new benefit instead. Moving forward, character applications should have the new benefits written in.

Venomous Spirit
Description: Your Seishin Goei has manifested as a venomous creature; as such, it could naturally produce venom-however, in your spirit's case, it can manifest your own poisons instead by paying the appropriate chakra cost when employing an attack that would ordinarily deliver that creature's venom. Requires Seishin Goei, and requires a venomous form at that; additionally requires poisons.
Benefit: Your Seishin Goei can use one of your poisons in place of the venom its species could ordinarily create.

Description: Sasoboro has the general shape of a scorpion, though he has always looked rather odd; specifically, his skin, black as pitch, gives off a strange vapor that is just as dark. The vapor fades a few inches from Sasoboro's body, and is more evident around the outer edge of his frame. Sasoboro, however, is outright massive when compared to an ordinary scorpion-easily large enough for Yui to comfortably sit on without hindering the massive beast. Sasoboro's tail, curved so wickedly as only a scorpion's tail may be, seems to drip from the stinger, though whatever liquid falls never reaches Sasoboro's back. The massive scorpion's body is nearly featureless, save for his eyes-his eyes shine a bright emerald hue, stark and striking against his black form. This luminescence can be suppressed at will.

Sasoboro's appearance differs slightly to those viewing him with chakra detecting vision; he appears, rather than be black and featureless, to have a texture on his skin reminiscent of human musculature. Sasoboro appears purple and transparent when viewed this way, and the usual vapor shifts to show human faces, pulled and distorted into expressions of utmost pain. Despite not being able to see chakra, Yui is aware of Sasoboro's dual appearances, and can see whichever she chooses to see at that moment. Typically, Yui will see only the black form, which she dubs Shadow Sasoboro, as opposed to his violet version, Spirit Sasoboro.

Personality: Sasoboro is wicked and violent, even compared to Ineizume. His temperament often mirrors Yui's inner thoughts, and the giant scorpion tends to be vicious and overzealous in approaching a goal. When alone with Yui, however, he displays a somewhat softer, more thoughtful side, often acting as a soundboard for Yui's innermost thoughts. Sasoboro is entirely beholden to Yui's whims, however, and will never defy her-though he does sometimes act ahead of Yui's decisions, trusting that it's the decision she would have come to eventually. Sasoboro is protective of Yui, but trusts in her ability to kill just as easily as he can.

Background Sasoboro has no background that does not involve Yui. As her spirit beast, Sasoboro has been a part of Yui since birth, and is considered (and considers himself) to be nothing more than an outward expression of Yui's will. It would be inaccurate to say they complete each other-rather, they are two beings, entirely independent and whole, but unceasingly linked to the other. Sasoboro was born with Yui, and he will die with her as well.

Limitations:
- The clone is intangible, being made entirely of chakra. This limitation cannot be removed.
- It cannot harm anything, though it does not necessarily disperse as soon as contact is made. This limitation cannot be removed.
- This type of clone has no consciousness of its own and cannot make its own decisions.
- This clone has a range limit of 100 feet from the user. This limitation cannot be removed, but can be extended.

Henge no Jutsu [Transformation Technique]

Description: The user alters his or her appearance to look like something else. This transformation looks and feels real.
Limitations:
- The transformation cannot be unreasonably different in size to the user. They may, for instance, transform into a puppy or a large piece of furniture such as a bed-however, insects and objects much larger than a bed are not possible. This size limitation varies depending on the user's natural size. This limitation cannot be removed.
- Transforming is only skin deep-the transformation may feel real, but transforming into a metal object does not make you extra durable, nor does changing into a bird let you fly, etc. This limitation cannot be removed.
Weaknesses: Any physical damage done to the user immediately dispels the illusion, as well as any reasonably distracting event. This weakness can only be removed by obtaining the Trait that allows for it.

Kawarimi no Jutsu [Body Replacement Technique]

Requirements: Nearby debris roughly the size of the user
Description: With this technique, a user replaces their body with an inanimate object the moment an attack lands. This is done to evade an attack at the last second, making the opponent think the attack landed when in fact, it did not.
Limitations:
- This technique has a range limit of 25 feet. This limitation cannot be removed, only expanded.
- The object the user replaced themselves with must be of approximate size to the user. This limitation cannot be removed.
- This technique must be prepared a full post before it is used, and if no occasion comes about to use the technique, the chakra and handseals are wasted.

Nawanuke no Jutsu [Rope Escape Technique]

- Only very slight movements can be made while this technique is active. This limitation cannot be removed.
Weaknesses: Viewing the user from any angle that the cloth does not obstruct the user from the viewer's line of sight renders the technique useless. This weakness cannot be removed.

This is just chakra-assisted movement, however. This technique usually employs some sort of cover to further hide the user's movements. This technique may be used to move vertically, but it must begin while the user is on a surface they can push off of.
Limitations:
- The user cannot change direction once their movement has begun.
- The user cannot react to threats during their movement. This limitation cannot be removed.
- There must be no obstructions between the user and their intended end location. This limitation cannot be removed.
- This technique has a range limit of 20 feet. This limitation cannot be removed, only extended.
- If no cover is used, the opponent may see the user leaning in the direction they intended to go.

Description: The user steps into shadows and remains very still. Yuusou Gisei [Heroic Sacrifice]

Requirements: Allied Target
Description: The user completes the needed handseals when a target is in danger from an attack. This technique works in the same way as the basic technique Kawarimi No Jutsu to switch places with the target, putting themselves in the line of fire instead. Unlike Kawarimi, this requires no prior preparation to utilize, and can be used at a moment’s notice. This also lacks any size or weight restrictions on Kawarimi, and can be done as long as the user has a clear line of sight to the target without physical obstructions.

Description: Yoruhime is a truly massive bat, capable of carrying a fully grown human in flight. Befitting her species, she has a set of incredibly sharp fangs that can be used in a pinch to bleed an enemy dry. Her fur is a mix of black and brown, and her leathery wings are considerably thicker than they look. Her eyes are a deep, dark red.

Personality: Yoruhime is, unlike Yui's other summonings, quite cowardly, and hates being called to fight. She would much prefer flying from every hint of conflict, but despite this, Yoruhime does occasionally assist with Yui's contracts. If she is absolutely forced into combat, Yoruhime prefers attacking from a distance, where its safe, or with tactics that cannot be easily fought against. Yoruhime is far better suited-and far more often is employed-in stealth roles, where she can scout ahead and relay the advance situation to Yui.

Background Yoruhime was raised, like Yui and Ineizume, by a shadowy organization, bent on their own secret goals. Yoruhime was always the most contrary of the batch, often being the sole voice of opposition to the pursuit of whatever goal Yui is after. Even so, she usually ends up going along with Yui's plans in the end. Yoruhime was bonded to Yui shortly after Ineizume, as it was determined Yui would need a recon summoning to assist her.

Description: While holding the Rat seal, the user forcibly halts their chakra flow, then rapidly rushes a greater amount of chakra to their head. This process disperses the chakra causing a Genjutsu to occur, and can break it in such a fashion.
- You must be able to form the Rat handseal.
- You must break every Genjutsu effect on a single genjutsu at once, though if you are affected by multiple Genjutsu, you may choose which Genjutsu to target.
- You do NOT need to break an Aftershock effect.
- You do NOT need to break effects that your stats are allowing you to ignore the cost of.
- Even those incapable of learning Ninjutsu or Genjutsu can use Genjutsu Kai.
- Genjutsu Kai may be used on another individual by contact. Other than the required handseal, all rules for Genjutsu Kai must still be followed while using it in this way.

Description: The user closes his or her eyes and focuses instead on one of their other senses. So long as the user does not open their eyes, their perception in regards to that single sense is doubled. This technique does not involve chakra.
Drawbacks: The user must remain still while using this technique.

Tsuiseki [Tracking]
Rank: C
Description: By focusing only on the trail they are following, a shinobi may block out sights and sounds unrelated to their target. This in turn makes details related to the trail stand out more accurately. This can be applied to any method the user is utilizing to track a target, and does not utilize chakra.
Limitations: The user must already have a trail to follow. This limitation cannot be removed.
Drawbacks: The user may not notice hazards around them; it is not recommended to use this technique alone. This drawback may not be removed.

Personality: Ineizume is a noble, but violent creature, insisting upon using the proper honorifics and respects whenever she speaks, and insisting upon the same respects being given to her. She is utterly ruthless in battle, perfectly willing to rip limbs and throats out of her opponents. Once she starts fighting, Ineizume is often consumed with a bloodlust that is difficult to subdue.

Background Ineizume was taken from birth by the same people that took her summoner, Yui. They raised Ineizume according to the same principles as Yui, and when the time came, Yui was bonded to Ineizume. Though Yui was capable of summoning already due to her unique heritage, Ineizume was considered Yui's initial summoning, as far as the organization was concerned. The two have been together ever since-Yui and Ineizume both consider the great panther to be the embodiment of Yui's fury, a perfect weapon honed for slaughter.

Bunshin no Jutsu [Clone Technique]

Description: The user creates a clone of themselves. The clone looks just like the user in every way, to include current injuries and damage to clothing. The clone can be controlled mentally by the user as long as the user can see or otherwise detect what the clone is doing. Multiple clones can be made simultaneously, but each must be maintained separately as a distinct jutsu use.
Limitations:
- The clone is intangible, being made entirely of chakra. This limitation cannot be removed.
- It cannot harm anything, though it does not necessarily disperse as soon as contact is made. This limitation cannot be removed.
- This type of clone has no consciousness of its own and cannot make its own decisions.
- This clone has a range limit of 100 feet from the user. This limitation cannot be removed, but can be extended.

Henge no Jutsu [Transformation Technique]

Description: The user alters his or her appearance to look like something else. This transformation looks and feels real.
Limitations:
- The transformation cannot be unreasonably different in size to the user. They may, for instance, transform into a puppy or a large piece of furniture such as a bed-however, insects and objects much larger than a bed are not possible. This size limitation varies depending on the user's natural size. This limitation cannot be removed.
- Transforming is only skin deep-the transformation may feel real, but transforming into a metal object does not make you extra durable, nor does changing into a bird let you fly, etc. This limitation cannot be removed.
Weaknesses: Any physical damage done to the user immediately dispels the illusion, as well as any reasonably distracting event. This weakness can only be removed by obtaining the Trait that allows for it.

Kawarimi no Jutsu [Body Replacement Technique]

Requirements: Nearby debris roughly the size of the user
Description: With this technique, a user replaces their body with an inanimate object the moment an attack lands. This is done to evade an attack at the last second, making the opponent think the attack landed when in fact, it did not.
Limitations:
- This technique has a range limit of 25 feet. This limitation cannot be removed, only expanded.
- The object the user replaced themselves with must be of approximate size to the user. This limitation cannot be removed.
- This technique must be prepared a full post before it is used, and if no occasion comes about to use the technique, the chakra and handseals are wasted.

Nawanuke no Jutsu [Rope Escape Technique]

Description: This technique allows one to escape from ropes and wires tied to prevent their escape. This is done by using chakra to physically loosen or to sever the ropes. This technique does not require handseals.

Kakuremino no Jutsu [Cloak of Invisibility Technique]

Requirements: A cloth of similar design to the background.
Description: The user hides behind a cloth, using chakra to make it blend in even better to the background, removing any apparent edges or folds on the cloth. This could render the user completely invisible if used with a cloth with an appropriate design.
Limitations:
- This technique must be used with an appropriate cloth. This limitation cannot be removed.
- Only very slight movements can be made while this technique is active. This limitation cannot be removed.
Weaknesses: Viewing the user from any angle that the cloth does not obstruct the user from the viewer's line of sight renders the technique useless. This weakness cannot be removed.

Kage Shuriken no Jutsu [Shadow Shuriken Technique]
