Hey everyone. Sorry I sort of vanished. I had gotten a staph infection and within 3 days it turned into very bad cellulitis which caused me to become septic (38k white count at it's highest and kidneys were shutting down). I was in hospital for almost a month and then I was moved to the Healthcare Resort of Olathe after that and have been here since then. We got internet here but wasn't feeling better until now.

I'm on a wound v.a.c but they moved me to a portable 3 lb one that is in a purse like thing lol. Needless to say I'm anxious to get back to some fantasy and rp if anyone is interested with my chuunin http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif. I also have a genin as well. If not I'll see people in events?

Bushin-Ryuu Ninjutsu [Martial God-Style Ninja Arts]
Description: The Bushinryu fighting style is a strike based form of hard style martial arts for protecting and reinforcing the user from impacts and stress on the body in a fight through a series of exercises using many post stances, herbs, chakra and body movements to reinforce its structural strength. Use of this fighting style makes use of chakra, but does so in a way that does not actually cost chakra from the user.

Benefit: +10 Endurance. Reduce by half the severity of any effects of their own jutsu that damages their body, if there are numbers involved. If there are not, it is to be assumed that the user is simply more resilient against that effect. However effects like the 8th gate and Night Guy put too much stress on the body to reduce.

Background: Ao is the current patriarch of the Mao Clan. As such he is responsible for the entire clans welfare. Not only is he responsible for maintaining the clans ability to engage outsiders in battle, diplomacy, or trade - he oversees taking care and handling disputes between the different branches. Ao is in his mid 30's, physically powerful looking, and has lived as a village shinobi for all his life.


Ao is a very stern man who comes off very aggressive in his speech. Being one who has to hold a clan together he quickly learned in the ins and outs of politics and while aggressive he tends to never lose control and is always mindful an shrewd.

Combat Info: Ao appears to be fairly tall and muscular, giving accurate hint to him being quite skilled at taijutsu. In combat he focuses on using the Celestial Gates with his taijutsu and fighting alongside his legendary leech Foggy, who has the ability to alter her size from very small to titanic and has the ability to divide herself into thousands of smaller copies. Additionally he uses both doton and suiton jutsu. Due to Ao's prowess he has become somewhat famous in Swamp Country for having the ability to combine with Foggy into a giant celestial gates activated 3-headed leech spinning around in combat that can cause wide spread carnage when needed.

Fighting Style: - Bushin-Ryuu Ninjutsu

The Mao are skilled but brutish fighters who are known for their taijutsu prowess and the natural aptitude for using the celestial gates. Outside of their fighting style the clan is very skill in making powerful poisons and have gained a reputation of being proficient herbalists and brew-masters which some of the less taijutsu oriented members make use of to great effect.


Life as a Mao is nasty, brutish, and wet. The clan as a whole is powerful and has a large amount of influential control but they have earned the reputation as swamp riders. Riding on the backs of giant leeches they can traverse the swamps with little to no effort, thus allowing them to get to places quickly for defense.

Unlike most clans, Mao do not generally organize themselves within classic societal structures. Further, Mao have no particular tendency to gather in specific neighborhoods even when a large number of them live in an area. However, most Mao can be found in what are called "Mao quarters,” which tend to separate themselves into subdivisions throughout the village with the Hiruko quarter located closer to the outskirts of the village since it is the largest quarter. Mao society is patriarchal, with the strongest male having control over all the quarters and each quarters strongest serving as his advisors.

Despite their boorish treatment of outsiders, among their own clan and the village Mao are highly sociable. Regardless of widely held conceptions, most Mao aren't an angry violent people but just have a odd reputation for being so due to the veracity they have in combat. For Mao, the struggle for survival is more important than how that survival is sustained, and they tend to take great offense to those who insult how their style of fighting. As such Mao may be temperamental but they rarely hold long grudges, as this is perceived as a wasteful use of energy.



Special Ability:

The Mao all possess the unique natural ability to use the Celestial Gates. As such the cost for obtaining the 7th and 8th gate are reduced by 1 AA. Additionally a Mao may take (Celestial Gates) Specialist for 1 AA.

The Mao clan has been around since the founding of the village but are a relatively small clan as far as size goes. Despite their size they hold a lot of sway and are known to be powerful shinobi within the village who work as herbalists and brew-masters having a great breath of knowledge when it comes to local flora and faun, as well as their locations and how to obtain.

The Mao clan is split into several branches or "quarters" but has three main larger ones that they have named based off local creatures; the Snake Quarter, the alligator quarter and the leech quarter; with the leech quarter being renamed to the Hiruko quarter. Holding all the quarters together is the patriarch of the clan who has his position due to being the most powerful member. Surrounding him are the strongest of each of the other quarters.

Fujiwara has a lean body that is very tone and shows the results of physical training. Since unlocking the Atavism of the Ōtsutsuki, his features have taken a completely different look to them. His hair has became completely white, which seems to highlight his clear, clean pale skin. His eyes closely resemble the Byakugan but aren't completely featureless, having a slightly darker irides. Although he's young he appears as an older teenager. He is unsure why this is but the truth is the age differential is contributed to his Kekkei Hen'i. Fuji additionally has developed six magatama designs on his collarbone that resemble a necklace.

Unlike some whose "Aura" can adopt an animal or even holy/demonic appearance when an onlooker is overwhelmed, fearful, etc, his aura instead manifests as if he is a human lampshade. Furthermore when Fujiwara is extremely overtaken by ignited emotion his viens additionally pulse like glowing volcanic veins in parallel with the lampshade effect.


Fujiwara sports combat oriented armor. He wears a more protective but sleeker version of the Kourigakure Squad Flak Jackets, with the suit guarding a fair portion of his body. When on missions, traveling or in times of high alert he wears a sturdy tanned leather backpack satchel and he wears his headband tied to his right thigh. Often he wears a matching black trench coat that goes down to his knees to cover the armor and mask he's wearing it. Despite the masked body armor, his lower arms and legs where the gauntlets and greaves are located are still visible.

"When I ignore a friend I have the ability to help, wouldn't I be betraying him?"

Fujiwara is extremely nice and forgiving, and has a tendency to make people like and admire him but he is more self serving than others. He is also one of the nicest people there is but you don’t want to piss him off as he can become dominated by his feelings. However, Fujiwara is a bit of a reticent and isn't simple-minded but instead is quite knowledgeable and a deep-thinker. He is also a bit of a challenge seeker. He is driven and ambitious, he aims to constantly hone his skills by tackling challenges that push his abilities to the limit, and enjoys every minute of it. The harder the challenge, the better and more eager he gets.

Fujiwara is quite brilliant when it comes to combat and picks up things rather quickly but when not in combat or training Fujiwara has the inclination is to do as little as possible. If you can't find him training or sparing then he's spending his days relaxing in the hot pools, watching the clouds, or playing board games.

He also has his own sense of right and wrong, but it doesn't seem to apply to other people, at least not all the time and while he has a good moral framework there are times where one can't peg him as "good" or "evil" However there is one thing that is easy to read about him and that is he is dependable, which is both a boon and hindrance. He finds it difficult to impossible to break a promise. Because of this quark if you can get him to say "I promise" willingly and without cajolery, he will honor it to the best of his abilities no matter what. In conjunction with his dependability is his unyielding loyalty to his friends, quirkily branding those who are friends as familiars; a term of endearment. Fujiwara often suffers immensely in his attempts to help his familiars without a single complaint. He puts familiars before himself without being concerned about his own health or even his life. This is of course if you can get him to count you as a familiar.

A paradox within Fujiwara is that through his experiences he has come to believe that many follow the adage Mundus Vult Decipi, Ergo Decipiatur, a phrase meaning “The world wants to be deceived, so let it be deceived.” This has caused him to adopt the belief that everyone lies. Because of this he is distrusting but he doesn't show it or state it, he's just well aware that there aren't a lot of people out there in the world that are truly always honest and for the most part everyone lies sometimes. Oddly enough Fujiwara himself almost never lies, he just doesn't share everything about himself and omits facts at times. While some believe omission is still a lie, he believes this to be a logical fallacy.

Fujiwara possesses a distinct speech pattern, always saying hello and goodbye three times in three different ways, a quirk he barely even notices unless pointed out.

This technique may be used to move vertically, but it must begin while the user is on a surface they can push off of.

Description: Gathering chakra into the fist to prepare for a single powerful attack, Fujiwara punches straight down, crashing into the ground and ripping it into boulders that jut up from the ground due to the impact, resembling a cherry blossom. This can throw smaller boulders and nearby opponents into the air due to the shockwave that he can control; doubling or having it upon use for situational control. Obviously, used against an opponent instead of the ground, this technique could be very dangerous.

Prologue — Land of Ice (プロローグ~波の国, Purorōgu — Nami no Kōri)

At the age of forty, Senju, Kazuma, a legendary shinobi in his own right, returned home to the village of Morigakure for the first time in several years carrying his infant son; Fujiwara. Once arriving in the village Kazuma would express that the child's mother had separated from him and his long mission had been a success; adding more to the confusion of where he had been and who his mother was. Shortly after this and giving him away to a cousin Kazuma left the village, never to return.

Growing up without parents would have been hard if it wasn’t for a man named Chifuyu Kaze, who was a old but handsome man with long straight silver hair and a long thin mustache going just past his chin. It was Kaze who taught young Fujiwara how to fish, along with educating him in various fields of study. It was also Kaze who trained him in martial arts before dying to an incurable illness that affects those with advanced age. Despite Kazes loving care Fujiwara had severe limits placed on his freedom of expression, civil rights, political rights, etc as the village closely supervised his life thanks to his father’s stranger disappearance and his cloaked origins. Training him to be a shinobi for the village they placed him in the academy.

Now having freedom for the first time in his life he enjoyed his time at the academy but it soon became apparent he had adopted his father’s natural gifts. While young and adept he slowed down his progress to make sure he graduated with the class he was first introduced to in order to prolong his stay at the academy. However, despite the slow downed process it only took him a short while after turning 8 before he was ready to graduate from the academy. Before graduating two key events happened in his young life; the first was mastering the jutsu Shunshin which landed him the nickname Mueishō no Fujiwara and his befriending of a teacher who had defected from Kourigakure, often speaking of the place with shocking affection still. Becoming engrossed with the idea of a unforgiving climate to train in and living among people with hearts warm enough to melt the snow, Fujiwara decided to do the unthinkable and leave the academy to defect to Kourigakure. Having no love for a country which treated him so poorly he was ready to have a life elsewhere.

Not worried about the repercussions of such a defection he was eager to start his new life and was happy that he received such a warm and open welcome from the Fuyukage. In exchange for what knowledge he had of Morigakure he was welcomed into the village and put under protection to finish his academy training and start his life as a genin of Kourigakure in the Land of Ice. Having finished among the ranks of the top class, Fuji graduated at the young age of 8-making him the youngest in his class. Now a genin he found himself being passed around on missions as he filled in the gaps on teams. It wasn't until he was tasked a C-Rank solo mission to traverse a mountain and collect several of the rare Nichiren Flowers and bring them back to the village. On the mission he braved treacherous landscape and fought giant wolves with the aid of his trusted summon Raiju. Impressed by his actions that a fresh genin had his aptitude he was was finally assigned to an official team with Makaze Yoshoku and Kiara Yoshoku, both who were also powerful and growing shinobi in their own rights as well. Over the next several months the three would learn to trust one another and developed a close bond as they completed missions, played and trained. Finding them ready the Village decided to enroll them in the Chuunin Exams where they would test their mettle.

The Chūnin Exams (中忍試験, Chūnin Shiken)

Once arriving at the exams, Fujiwara and his team would be put through a series of tests. Gathering with others he was given a test to figure out who was actually a spy but couldn't gain the help of his team. Not having jutsu for such things he was placed at a disadvantage from the start. However, thanks to his deductive reasoning he was able to guess that no one of the supplicates was a spy and handed in a blank answer. Waiting for his teammates he'd be glad that they would all three be allowed to move forward but he would be disappointed by the fact he was moving forward with 0 points due to improperly phrasing a statement at the end of that part of the exam.

Being allowed to move forward it was then that he first met a real challenge dealing with a Jounin from another village. While they were easily able to track the person the three of them were completely outclassed by a puppet user who who was able to control all their movements with no difficulty and move with more speed and agility than all of them. Faced with a choice they would refute his attempts to break up the team and instead be given an ultimatum of either helping his villages team out or fail the exam. Deciding with his team to go with the choice of aid they would travel by the direction of an insect belonging to one of the teammates of the Jounins village. Helping them the 6 would move forward onto the next exam.

Arriving at an arena Fujiwara would be pitted on a one verse one match against the very team they had to help and the resulting fight would push him to his limit. Ultimately winning he'd have to go another round against his second opponent but would lose. Having never fought against insect users or having the jutsu to combat them he would take his loss with great learning. Unknown to Fujiwara this was the stepping stone to his evolution, which was first made apparent at him naturally developing the ability to regenerate. Watching the next match their team would lose another round and be forced out of the exams to head back home. Once home Fujiwara would be promoted up to Chuunin, the village finding his skill and impressive chakra reserves reason enough to let him take on more responsibility within the village.

Not having much downtime Fujiwara would fall ill and be hospitalized within the shinobi medical ward. It was then that the village Kage realized just what was going on after some trusted hands were brought in to investigate. Like a caterpillar he'd evolve and emerge a completely different person in both looks and enhanced abilities. Being given the name Tailed Beast without a Tail by a chakra sensor in the medical ward he'd take a shining to the name, liking it more than his previous nickname. After recovering he'd return to his duties and start his life as a chuunin of the village.
