A freak accident could describe her current situation, but it was rather interesting how she ended up where she was at the moment. She was practicing Ki Nobori in a forested area next to the river bank a bit out of the way from the main village of Akarigakure. In the distance, Keiko could see the remains of an old building. The color-blanched walls were strewn all over the floor and whatever remained of the second floor seemed barely accessible.

Because it was fall, the red and orange-colored leaves from the trees surrounding this particular building had all fallen to the ground, creating an artistic foliage on the floor. The Kaguya girl wanted to take a closer look at the dilapidated building and pushed off the trunk of the tree she was glued to, sending herself towards the wall. She sent chakra into her hands as well to be able to latch onto the side of the wall like Spiderman does.

The moment she reached the wall however, she felt the subtle shift in weight. The old wall gave in from the sudden impact of her body's weight and began to fall ove. Keiko aborted her spidey skills and headed straight down so that she would land just outside of the ruin.

The spot she landed on was a bit wobbly. In actually, one foot stepped on a wooden trapdoor while the other landed on nothing but leaves. She immediately lost her balance on her way down and let out a small yip. A hand stuck out immediately in an attempt to catch herself and Keiko fell through the hole. It was only a foot deep, but it felt like a solid meter at that specific moment in time. She tumbled a bit on her way down a set of leaf-laden stairs. The girl went into what seemed like a cellar entrance that was partially covered by a door that was off its hinges and laid down a bit haphazardly on top of the entranceway. The leaves that was covering the hole only served to make the trapdoor invisible from the naked eye.

The Kaguya accidentally sprained herself trying to prevent a huge fall and her wrist throbbed a tid bit. She sent chakra flowing through her arm and into her wrist, letting the healing process speed up. While that was getting to work, Keiko looked up at the entrance and back down towards the end of the stairs.

The opening up above let in enough light so as to reveal a lengthy staircase heading deeper into the ruined building. Interested, she focused chakra into her non-injured hand and released a small glowing orb of light that resembled a firefly. It would float down until it reached a door at the end, in which the orb brightened up to reveal the end of the stairway.

Keiko walked down the stairs which was about five meters in total distance. The jutsu she used a few seconds past was one of her own creation in which one creates a ball of light that illuminates the immediate surroundings. The main reason why she used this jutsu was because of her late night rendezvous with training and preparations. Although it was in the middle of the day, she was glad that she was able to perform this technique aside from her usual night time secrets.

The girl wondered why there was such a mysterious cellar-like thing at the bottom of a dilapidated and run-down building. Because it most definitely looked like an old building, she surmised that it could have been an old Rikuhuu building from before the demon wars. Akarigakure itself was situated near the location of the original Rikuhi ninja village so maybe one of its mysteries that was buried within the sands has been resurfaced. Although it wasn't terribly sandy. There were trees and dirt and a house and a river. But a lot of things can change from the past one hundred years.

It was a good thing that Keiko read up on the past. Not that there was a lot of information from the library, or her parents. Still, having knowledge of something is sometimes better than not knowing at all.

The door at the end was large, wooden, and had several engravings marked in a language Keiko herself did not know. Assuming it was Rikuhuu, she traced the outlines carved into the wood with her left hand while gripping the door handle with her right. Without even realizing, the sprained wrist that she had just a few minutes before was already healed.

It creaked open, sending a wave of chills coursing through her entire body. Inside was pitch black save for a few cracks in the roof that let in almost no light from the surface. It was way too dark in here. She repeated the process of casting Glowing Firefly toward the ceiling of each corner and one in the middle until it was adequately lit to reveal the room she was in.

The walls that lined each side was made of some type of stone and dirt mixed together but it looked sturdy and firm enough that there wouldn't be an accidental cave in. A few cracks here and there showed the building's age but it still looked resoundingly solid. The roof was made of the same type of material and a single broken bulb could be seen in the middle of the roof close to where one of her fireflies sat floating.

Lining one edge of the room were several bookcases filled with cobwebs, ruined books, and burnt books. Keiko took a few steps closer to one of the bookshelves to see if there were any that were still legible and not ruined with age and mildew.

Taking one of the books and dusting it off, she opened it to see the pages wet and moldy, anything that could have been written on it completely disappeared. She immediately closed the book and put it to one side of the bookcase and perused through the titles still able to be read, should one understand Rikuhuu. One of the books looked promising: it was leather-bound and was stashed underneath another book. It's language could still be clearly read from the spine of the book and Keiko opened the book.

Several lines of text were still visible although small patches were left illegible because of the damage. It looked promising and the girl carried it towards the entrance and left it by the door. The rest of the room seemed as if it could be used as a small training area. The room was long enough so that she would be able to use mid-range jutsu techniques and had several pillars that held up the roof. If she could bring down something from the outside to serve as a target practice, and spruced the place up a bit, this could most definitely be a location she could practice her bloodline techniques in.

The Kaguya girl smiled and headed to exit the door, picking up the book along the way. She skipped a step on her way up the staircase and soon quickly reached the outside. It was still rather bright outside although the sun had begun to dip down towards the horizon to the west. There were several things she needed to bring here and Keiko made a little mental note to herself before heading back home.

Little by little, day by day, Keiko would bring to that abandoned decrepit building necessities for her new training grounds. Because it wasn't really furnished all that well, she stashed several unlit torches, books from her own home, a basic table, lots and lots of paper, and a few target practice dummies that were lying unused in the Academy. This was all kept hidden from view inside the stairway with the broken cellar door covering the entrance and several leaves to match the surrounding floor.

She only discovered it by mistake; it was entirely possible that someone else would be able to find the place, but for now, it was all hers. Hers to decorate and hers to do whatever she wanted with. The book that she brought from this place was donated to the Academy's library, which the librarian inquired where she got such an old text. Her answer was that it was lying inside an old building outside of Akarigakure. It was the only text still legible enough to be restored and read. And it was the truth, the complete truth, and the only truth.

The Kaguya girl winked at the librarian.

Back to the rundown building with a nice hidey-hole of a room, Keiko checked around to see if there were anyone nearby. Of course, she checked earlier the moment she got out of the clan grounds, but she also checked at the village entrance, and when she began her Ki Nobori training on the way to this specific spot.

No one in sight, she moved the false door aside to reveal the dark staircase leading underneath the ruined building. Littered throughout the edges of the walls were the aforementioned necessities she brought over to decorate her new room with. She reset the planky-door above her and summoned a firefly to illuminate the now dark space.

Keiko walked down and opened the door wide, the creaking echoing off the empty chamber ahead. Darkness. The void. The oblivion. Any of these words could be used to describe the emptiness and the 'blackness' of the room in front of the Kaguya girl. She took one of the torches she brought over that was leaning against the wall behind her and put her hand close to the head. She sent her chakra through her hand and willed the torch to catch on fire. And light up it did. She attached it to a vertical sconce that she also brought and placed it by the large wooden door.

Keiko grabbed the rest of the torches and sconces and set them up in the room accordingly so that when lit, would provide adequate light to illuminate the dank room. Extra torch sconces were placed near the bookcases to the left. Also placed there by the Kaguya were two chairs facing each other and large wooden desk. This was to be her writing desk should she feel like doing anything creative with her mind and wanted to save her ideas for later. She grabbed one of the lit torches near the entranceway and proceeded to light up the torches next to the bookcases.

Another thing about these torches: they provided some necessary warmth into the lonely and dank atmosphere. Even if she could create her own light in the basement/cellar, having a 'natural' light source that also gave off heat was an added boon.

The books she brought were added to a new collection on top of the first shelf, but not before Keiko went ahead and cleaned each one with a rag. Her writing paper and pens were placed on top of the desk and the dummies of varying statures were hoisted up into the far side of the room. Each one had a torch lit next to it to provide light.

With the dilapidated building looking more humane and dungeon-friendly, Keiko headed back outside by the stairs and picked up her next pieces of her collection: the target dummies. Several different kinds were gathered by the Kaguya girl, each with a different purpose. Down the line, she would most definitely have to get more materials for replacing the 'board', but she brought enough for what she would most probably use currently. The silver-haired teenager brought the first of four dummies, this one being made of hay.

She walked to the end of the room with her dummy in tow and propped it to the left-most side. To its left was a torch that was illuminating a great deal of the wall and now the target dummy. Satisfied by its position and how it looked, Keiko headed back out and brought in the wooden dummy. This one was placed next to the hay target, about a meter to right. To the wooden target's right side was another torch that was placed rather awkwardly. The girl moved it so that it would align with the rest of the torches and dummies.

Heading back to the entrance, she gazed on her targets from afar. They were positioned well and didn't have any obstacles in the way for distractions. All good soo far. She would head back out and grab one of the humanoid looking targets made out of wood and drag it carefully into the room. This one was a bit heavier compared to the simple circular wooden target she dragged in earlier. Made out of harder wood, it was more elaborately designed for close quarters combat. Should she decide to use it for ranged combat, the wood was hard enough that it would not dent easily.

The last circular target however was the one with the most problem. With the main material of the target being stone, it was about three feet wide in diameter and weighed... a lot. Using Kinobori as a solid foothold, she flipped her target onto its face and rolled it using its circular edge. With enough muscle and patience, Keiko was finally able to bring it to its desired location. It was only then that she thought of using her clones to help. Ahh well. They could still help with lifting it up.

The girl flipped through the handsigns for her Fire Clone jutsu and out pooped two identical-looking Kaguya with different colored armbands. Namely Stoic and Maid. Keiku and Keika.

"Good afternoon~?"

"... Nice location."

"Hello milady. How may we assist you?"

She explained about what she was doing and why she was doing it and in the end, got the cooperation of both of her clones. With a one, two, three, they hoisted up the super heavy stone target onto its legs and positioned it near the corner of the room alongside the three other targets. They were finally done. In order, the Kaguya had the hay human, the circular wooden target, the wooden human, and finally the circular stone target. She was also thinking about getting a metal target but that was probably around the same weight as the stone.

It could possibly be lighter and stronger but she would figure that out once she gets her hands onto it.

With her target practice all set up and lined up, she would waste no time with putting it to practical use. The only reason she renovated this ancient cellar room was so that she could practice using her bloodline, in secret. Only three people knew about her ability: Keiko herself, her mother, and her father. No one else inside the Kaguya clan knew about it, not even her own brother. Because of that she was unable to practice how to use it inside the clan grounds. Hence this little spot. It was completely out of the way, hidden with the foliage and ruins above, and was hard to track back to her without her knowing.

For today, the main purpose was to expand on her knowledge of Shikotsumyaku and its practical applications. She had on her shelf a book she obtained from the Kaguya clan that read about their past battle-hungriness and how they used unique techniques to overpower their enemies. One such technique written down in the book was called Teshi Sendan, or the Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets. Basically, the distal phalanges in each hand are loaded with chakra and then shot out at a high speed, using rotation to shoot their target. Apparently because of the hardness of the 'bullet', it can pierce through skin, muscles, and bones.

With the basic knowledge of how it could work in her mind, she would get to practical use, shooting it against the stone target. Keiko smiled as she got ready, her two clones practically doing whatever they pleased. Keika was practically cleaning the left side of the room where all the bookshelves and her table was with the brush. There was a broom in the corner near the hay target that Keiko told her she could use once all the dust and trash was on the floor, not that there were any trash. Sweep it into a pile, pick it up into a pan or so, and deposit it outside into a a trash can. Which reminded the young girl to bring a trash can on her next trip.

Keiku was reading through the books they had on the bookshelves, situating herself comfortably on the chair and table to the side. Smiling at the two, she looked back at her target in the distance and stuck out her hand. Having her bones come out of her body was always an unpleasant experience coupled with the fact that blood always sticks to the bone when she does so. The pain was momentary but sharp. She would just have to get used to it if she wanted to utilize her abilities to the best of her.. well, ability.

She didn't even know how to shoot it. She has to start somewhere. Keiko supported the bottom of her right hand with her left. All four of her fingers were pointed straight at the stone target at the other end of the room. Focus your chakra into your finger, shoot it out, and apply spin to it? Let's see here...

Here goes. The Kaguya focused her chakra into her digit and aimed to shoot it out towards the stone target in the distance. With a pow, her distal phalanx on her index finger was shot out, but not soo spectacularly. It only traveled half the distance before sinking, hitting the floor with a hollow 'thup'. In a way it was similar to her Flamespike, but the process was more instantaneous. In that small moment, she would need to focus, shoot, spin. Focus, shoot, spin. The tip of her finger stung and lay splayed in different directions. Already it was starting to close up and return back to its original state, but it still felt uncomfortable.

Did she have to practice this technique? Did she have to master it? Keiko shook her head and looked back at the target once more. It was a necessary thing to do. For herself and for others.

She raised her right hand once more, her left supporting it by holding the bottom. Keiko would opt to fire from the middle finger this time, her index still a tad bit sore even if it had already healed up. By the end of her training day, she would probably be unable to do anything with her hands.

Focus, shoot, spin. She molded chakra into her second finger and shot it out with great intensity, her eyes focused on the target at the other end of the room. Keiko's fingertip span through the air and neatly made contact with the stone target, simply bouncing off of it rather than penetrating the stone. For her second attempt, this was a whole lot better compared to it falling short. This is where the real training begins. The Kaguya smirked and looked at her other two clones.

Keika had just finished cleaning the first bookcase near the entrance and moved on to the second. Keiku was still enjoying herself within the book she chose, occasionally looking up to see the progress Keiko made. When their eyes made contact, Keiku gave the original a thumbs up and went back to her book.

Motivated was a good word that currently expressed Keiko. The skin on her index finger had just finished healing itself up and the girl thought about how amazing her body is to be able do such things. Her body was almost completely different from the typical human's. While the Uchiha and the Hyuuga had their eyes, the Kaguya had their body. Their skeletal structure was just simply different to better utilize their bones in a way that benefits them.

Now that she was able to shoot out a proper bone bullet, Keiko decided on doing her mastery of the technique. She had a few options left for her, but two of them stood out more than the others. With finer chakra control, she could lessen the amount of chakra used for the jutsu. The Kaguya could also extend her range simply by applying a few things like increased power or slightly more chakra.

Because saving chakra is always a great idea, the silver-haired girl of fourteen focused on that specialization first. She would aim and fire with her ring finger, sending out a spinning bone bullet that sped towards the stone target with uncanny accuracy. Okay, maybe it wasn't uncanny, but it still hit the target somewhere near the middle. It too bounced off and scattered onto the ground, like an empty shell casing left behind after firing a real bullet. Except it would be the bullet itself rather than the casing.

Keiko performed her Teshi Sendan technique onto the stone target at the other end of the room for about ten minutes, constantly switching hands and fingers to let it have more than enough time to heal and regain its nerve senses. It hurt every single time she shot one out because it ruptured the skin and pushed aside the nerves to make way for the bone bullet, but it always closed back and healed and repaired itself soon after. At times, when she accidentally put too much chakra into her finger, the Kaguya would yelp, her voice echoing off the walls.

Her clones would almost always look up and ask if she was alright, and she would wave them off and laugh, saying that it was alright. During these times however, her middle phalanges would send a sharp jolt of pain because of the affected nerves. It was probably the blow-back/recoil of her bone that would make contact with the nerves, like the slide of a gun accidentally hitting something when it reloads.

Keiko sent a minuscule amount of chakra into her finger and shot it out at the target, watching its spin and trajectory with great detail. As it sailed across the room and towards the center of the target, she noticed that the air would swoosh around and create a small vortex in the bullet's wake. Interested, she exclaimed 'Bull's Eye!' when it hit the middle of the stone.

With that, her chakra training component was done. Now on to the second part. Range. This one was a bit tricky because of the size of the room. But as long as she can do image training, it wasn't impossible. If she imagined the target being a lot farther than it actually is, she could shoot out her Drilling Bullets in accordance to her new distance.

She explained this to Keika and her clone gave her input on the situation. If she lowers the area of contact on the stone target, she could accurately strike a farther distance with her jutsu. Curious, the Kaguya turned back to her circular stone target and focused only on the inner half of the dummy. Since it was three feet in diameter, she can now only hit it with one and a half feet in diameter. That equates to three fourths foot in radius from the center.

Eager to try this out, she thanked Keika and got into position once more. If she hits within the small half, she could technically speaking double her distance hitting a target of the same width. The young girl focused chakra into her index finger and fired at the target, shooting out a half inch worth of bloody bone spiraling towards its target.

The spiraling motion of her bone as it is shot out isn't 'natural' per say. If one needed to shoot out a bone in a body, it wouldn't normally spin. Because of that, Keiko needed to add a spiraling motion with her chakra as she explodes it out of her body. Although this does not use a lot of chakra, the mechanics behind such a simple technique was a lot more difficult than it seemed. But because she was doing alright soo far, she didn't think too much on it.

The Kaguya watched her bullet travel across the room and impact with the solid stone dummy at the other end of the room. It barely made the .75' mark and bounced off like a rubber bullet. By then, there were several of Keiko's own digits lying scattered. It was time to clean up her bloody mess.

Keika noticed what her original was about to do and joined in on the fun. Keiko smiled and nodded, thanking the maid for being such an awesome person. All the digits that lay scattered were picked up and neatly placed in a small bucket.

With a bunch of her fingers off the floor and in a bucket, Keiko couldn't help but wonder what to do with said digits. Will her ability allow her to regain this bone? Can I fuse it back into my own body? An idea popped into her mind. She reached into the bucket and took out the largest-looking distal phalanx that most probably was meant for the index finger. Once she fires a shot, if she shoves this extra bone back in, will it stay?

Keiko thanked Keika again for her hard work and headed back to the shooting range on the other side of the room. In her left hand was a single digit. In her right were several yet to be used. The girl pointed her hand out and curled the last two fingers in.

"Pew!" She focused and fired her index finger at the target. Her left hand immediately came towards her right and Keiko shoved the end of her bone into the blown socket that remained from her use of the Teshi Sendan. It went in. The skin also went around it and healed too.

Strange..
