Setting: After being out of Akarigakure for almost a year, Keiko finally came back home and went straight to the Chouten Akimichi, Akarigakure's Kage. These series of events happen before the Vivian Hyuuga's genin team creation.

"Home, sweet home." The girl's foot crossed the river that snaked its way through the desert towards the mountains in the middle of Seichi. Or was it vice versa? Did the water come from an underwater spring that flowed out of the mountain towards the desert and into the ocean surrounding Seichi? Meh, she didn't want to waste any additional brain power trying to figure it out when she only wanted to come back home.

After escaping the Fox Bear Akuma in the forests of Yamagakure, she had taken refuge inside one of the smaller villages that resided in the mountains, healing from her wounds that she had suffered in battle. Despite being in a rival village, the medical ninja who had tended to her was considerate enough to know that when facing against the Akuma, every human is an ally. She repaid the kindness by helping out with several tasks around the village. Only when she felt that her debt has been repaid had she left, roaming the lands of Seichi in search of other villages. She traveled as far as Edagakure where the former Fire Country lay. The things she saw were almost beyond her imagination that couldn't simply be expressed in books.

As soon as she stepped through the gates of Akarigakure, there were two ninja clad in masks waiting for her.

"You are.. Keiko of the Kaguya?"

"It has been a year since you have deserted us."

"Why do you come back now?"

So it seemed like she had betrayed her village, just like how Kinryu and Kinji did the same thing. Keiko looked down at the ground, trying to figure out the words she needed to say. After a while, she looked up and stared at the masked ninja.

"I bring news about Kinryu Kaguya and his son Kinji, as well as information about the other hidden villages. I wish to speak to the Asakage, Chouten Akimichi." Silence ensued. "He is still the current Kage, is he not?"

The two ANBU looked at each other in silence for about ten seconds before turning back to stare at Keiko.

"We'll escort you to him," one started.

"-but only in custody." finished the other.

The Kaguya nodded and brought forth her hands, her palms facing outward. The two instantly vanished and reappeared right by her side, shackling her without a chance to resist. She couldn't keep up with their speed and only stared at the ground as she was brought over to the Kage's Mansion.

Yuzuha, Keiko's newest companion, sat on top of her head sleeping contently without a care in the world, oblivious to the new situation that was happening to the Kaguya. Her tail swished and twitched on occasion, possibly having some sort of dream as she slept.

The two ANBU that stood beside her had initially glanced at the young fox but deemed it not a threat and continued walking the 'traitor' to the Asakage's mansion where the current leader was located. The bands that were wrapped around her arms were inscribed with fuuinjutsu that messes up with chakra usage, making it extremely hard to use chakra. While this works perfectly fine against ninjas, getting it on one in the first place would be a difficult task, unless the other side was willing.

Keiko thought about her experience with the Akimichi Kage, recalling one past memory that left a deep impression about the man. As a man in his sixties, Chouten Akimichi was a warm and passionate person caring for his village and its people deeply. While she was still but a child who had yet to enter the Academy, her clan was visited by the Kage who was accompanied with several ANBU members. He had a meeting with the Kaguya clan head, Katsu about something. Before they entered a building near the middle of the compound, Chouten and the young Keiko made eye contact. She didn't know who he was at the time, but the Kage gave her the warmest smile ever, which made her feel very happy.

She was interrupted by the arrival of the mansion. All the 'happy' thoughts dissipated and she was grounded back into reality. Keiko looked up at the now-imposing building and walked in with her hands bound, her ability to use chakra almost non-existent. After two flights of stairs and down a long corridor, the ANBU and Keiko arrived in front of the double door.

On the door was a single kanji named 'Kage'. They were here. Each ANBU member opened the door as one and revealed the interior. On a table to the right sat several stacks of paper that seemed like it would never get done in a single 24 hour day. Directly in front several meters away was a large wooden desk that also had a stack of paper on top. Behind the desk stood a large man with his back facing towards Keiko. He had graying hair when it once used to be red. His pale blue robes cast a shadow spanning half the room because of the sun's light hitting him from the window in front of the Kage.

Chouten turned around and the Kaguya half-expected to see a smiling face greet her. Instead, what she saw was a stern face staring down at her. Even without the use of Sakki, his current looks could intimidate and frighten anyone that was under that gaze. The teen shrunk and cast her eyes down, afraid to look at the Asakage.

The sound of footsteps. A small pause.

"Look at me, child."

His voice filled the entire room. Keiko looked up and gazed at the man. Chouten Akimichi was already in front of her, his eyes barely discernible of any specific emotion. Keiko's eyes were beginning to water up, the fact that she was branded a traitor on the top of her mind.

"Talk to me."

Again, his voice filled the room. The two ANBU had already left the room leaving the Kaguya and the Akimichi alone together. She looked over to the right slightly before looking back at the Asakage, then back down to her feet. After several deep breaths, she slowly recounted her tale of how she was assigned a mission from her clan leader Katsu about tracking Kinryu Kaguya alongside her fellow clan member Kinji. She went into greater detail about how they tracked him all the way to the base of the mountains to the west and how they spotted him sitting down next to a tree. The latter half was also greatly detailed, how the Akuma attacked her, how she wound up finding the already deceased Kinryu and his scroll, and how she escaped the demon carrying the fox on top of her in tow.

As she spoke, her fearfulness gradually receded. Chouten was taking everything in without saying another word, only allowing a question or two to be asked to clarify on some parts. She then began speaking about the village near Yamagakure and how she was healed, how she helped them out for about a month, then about how she traveled to the other countries and learned what there was to learn there.

After all was said and done and she felt that she needed to return back to Akarigakure to report about what she had seen, Keiko finally looked back up to her Kage and saw that his eyes too were filled with small droplets of tears. The look on his face finally told her what she needed to know without even words. She dropped to the ground and began sobbing. The sense of relief that he gave her just then made all her bottled up emotions pour out of her. The Akimichi knelt beside her and put his large hand on her shoulder, consoling her in silence at her hard work and dedication for humankind.

After about ten minutes of sniffling and wiping, Keiko sat up and looked back at Chouten.

"Asakage-sama, may I speak to you about a personal matter? It's about the scroll that Kinryu took from the Kaguya clan as well as my lineage."

The man nodded and sat up as well, his back straightened out. The sight of the two of them sitting down face to face on the floor was interesting, but the forthcoming conversation was anything but. He gave her a nod, willing to listen.

"While I did open up the scroll and read it, I felt that the information that was inside it could very well be disastrous if the wrong hands were to obtain it. Because this is the Kaguya clan property, I was going to ask what I should do with the scroll?"

"Hmmm.. the best course of action you could take now is to talk it out with your clan leader and tell him the truth about the Mission itself. Do not speak about anything else like the Akuma attack or how you helped other parts of Seichi."

He raised his hand to scratch his cheek before continuing.

"As for your little fox here, that's up to your discretion. I have heard stories about these little buggers, but I'm surprised that you actually took it in. The situation was indeed unique so I do understand, and your heart is very big and very caring."

He gave her a warm smile that she instantly remembered from the past and Keiko began to cry again. After a while, Keiko began speaking once more.

"About my Kaguya side, I haven't told anyone about this aside from my parents.."

She glanced to the right once more as if she was trying to grasp at what she wanted to say.

"Our clan leader Katsu and his daughter Kammi have the Shikotsumyaku bloodline that allows them to utilize their bones in battle. I too," she emphasized with a hand over her chest, "have that ability. My immediate family is a sort of outcast within the clan and we are treated rather poorly as a result."

Keiko outstretched her hand and let her ulna elongate and rip through her palm. While it was still dull, case in point. Even with shackles on, she was able to utilize Shikotsumyaku and physically move her bone at will. This brought on a look of surprise followed by an understanding about her situation.

"If they were to figure out that I had this ability, my family's life as well as my own would be endangered. Shikotsumyaku is a terrifyingly rare gene that everyone would be scared about. It's already surprising that Kammi has the ability to use it. There hasn't been a record of two Shikotsumyaku users living in the same age, much less three. If they were to find out about this, they would probably want to kill me while I am still young and inexperienced."

The Asakage nodded while thinking about the situation.

"Yes. I think it is best to keep it a secret for now until you become stronger and are able to protect yourself. I will help you If you have no other choice but to reveal yourself, I will protect you as much as I can, dear child."

With this said, he unshackled her restraints with a simply touch. Keiko watched as they fell to the floor with a small clank. Keiko Kaguya was no longer a traitor in the eyes of the village.

"Go back home, my dear child. Tell them of your mission and its success but mention nothing else. I will keep you busy soon after so that you won't have to worry about any repercussions. Just do your best for the village and your family."

Chouten Akimichi the Asakage stood up, walked back behind his desk and sat back down into his chair.

"Dismissed."

Keiko bowed slightly and took two steps backwards before turning around and leaving the room. She pushed open the door with her hand and exited the room. She took one quick glance at the Asakage as the doors were closing before they blocked her view.
