~~~OOC~~~
The following test is REQUIRED in order to become a Genin if you started at the Academy Student rank. For the most part, this test is designed to assure me that you are capable of finding the answers, located without our guides, to various questions. Additionally, however, should you choose to let team assignments remain to the staff, we can use your character's answers (particularly the last answer) to determine who would make good teammates.
When answering this exam, please make an RP post in this thread, but DO NOT write any answers in this thread-instead, write your answers in a PM and send it to me. After grading your exam, I will send you your score.
~~~The Questions~~~

1. You are being pursued by three opposing ninja, and while you may be stronger than them normally, you're exhausted. There are no reinforcements coming, and failure, and therefore, death, is not an option. Devise a method which can allow you to successfully evade capture. For bonus points, concoct a method to successfully defeat your opponents. You may only employ basic weapons and basic jutsu in your plans.

2. There are many skills required to become a good ninja. Choose the Skill you consider the most valuable and explain how it is used.

3. Every ninja has a chakra nature affinity. Choose one affinity and explain its advantages and disadvantages against other elements. For bonus points, choose an Advanced Chakra Nature instead.

4. There are some abilities in the world so powerful that they are referred to as Advanced Abilities, and they often can make the difference between victory and defeat. Choose one Advanced Ability you are interested in and summarize its effects.

5. Describe your preferred method of fighting, including your role in combat as if you were on a team. (OOC: There are no correct answers to this question, just answer it as your character would)

It was time. The time to shine. The time to take the test and the time to pass it. It's showtime. Keiko got herself prepped up and ready to go meet the instructor who would pass out the exam. She studied arduously and repeatedly, cramming any and all information that was useful into her young mind until it almost burst from being overstuffed. Kind of like a popcorn bag in the microwave.

As she got dressed and combed her hair for the past half hour, Keiko repeatedly went over questions and answers that may have been on the test, whether it was the Basic Jutsu she had just learned and its uses, the advanced abilities that one may possess after years of training, or even the history of Akarigakure itself. Whatever the question was, she was sure she could answer it.

She waved to her parents who were busy setting up for their regular morning routine and left the Kaguya grounds and headed to the academy. It was a good day, slightly windier than usual which meant that it kicked up some unnecessary sand into the air but a good day nonetheless. The sun shone bright but not too hot, the flowers were all out in bloom, and the people that were meandering the village were very pleasant and nice. She waved to any of the villagers that greeted her as she passed and returned their smile. Keiko knew that it was a good day and she had a good feeling that she would pass the test.

Exuding confidence in each step as she strode by, the Kaguya teenager would stop by at one of her usual pit stops and pick out one of seven treats. This little store always opened up early and Keiko would always buy the special of that day. Today it was a snowman: a regular looking donut hole that was doused with glaze until it was fully covered, two aqua-colored dots for eyes, a little spot of orange for the nose, and a smiley face for its mouth. Atop its head rested an oreo-looking cookie that substituted for its hat. It was soo cute that the silver-haired youth decided to buy two of the adorable things. She popped one into her mouth immediately and squealed in delight at the sweetness of the treat. The other would be kept after the exam was finished to congratulate herself on her hard-won battle.

Keiko soon reached the Academy with a small bag in tow. She was relatively early for the test-taking, but there were already a few students milling about. Half an hour later, after most of the students had gathered, a door opened and out came a goofy-looking teacher with serious eyes. It was time for the test. She filed into the classroom with the rest of the students and sat down at her usual spot which would probably be her last time. A single pencil was sitting on each of the desks, but the exam paper was still in the front. After everyone was seated, the teacher began to speak.

"One hour, five questions. Ready? Begin."

The examiner flipped through hand signs that was too quick for her eyes to follow and the stack of papers flew through the air and landed on each of the tables. It was a mesmerizing sight for sure, but the Kaguya teen had more things to worry about. She picked up the pen and began writing her name on the paper.

No reinforcements and failure meant death. She thought about all the jutsu she learned and wrote down an answer for the first question after a couple of minutes of thinking. She went through the rest of the test in a similar manner until she reached the last question.

Thirty minutes have passed when she finally placed down the pencil back onto the table. It seemed like some students had already finished the test and exited the classroom while others were furiously scratching their heads trying to figure out how to solve the question. Keiko smiled and stood up from her seat and walked up to the examiner sitting behind his desk. Placing her exam in front of him on top of the other papers, she bowed and quickly exited the room.

A deep exhale escaped her lips and Kaguya was finished. She passed! Right? Maybe. She opened her bag and took out the last snowman and kissed it before taking a bite out of the dessert. Its sweetness almost made her forget about the slightly stressful ordeal she encountered and she skipped away happily.

“Don’t mess this up.
It’d be embarrassing if you, of all people, failed the genin exam.”

Sakura awoke suddenly, disoriented by the light right in front of her eyes. Her breath heavy from the intrusion from the shadow man, she took a few moments to collect herself before getting out from under the covers of her bed and preparing for the exam today. She had not discussed potential graduation with her twin Akeno, they kept their shinobi life more or less separated from each other for some unknown reason, perhaps worried that it would change them.

~~

Students were milling around the hallway as she strode confidently through the building, she noted that nobody was looking at her here and that was fine, she wasn’t the idol at school, she was here to do one thing: Pass. Sakura filed into the classroom after the rest of the students, she was relatively late by being on time, and she took the remaining seat. A single pencil was sitting on each of the desks, but the exam paper was still in the front. After everyone was seated, the teacher began to speak.

"One hour, five questions. Ready? Begin."

Picking up the pencil, the adolescent followed her sensei’s instructions. To begin, she read over the questions very carefully, taking a minute to think about each one of them before even putting ‘pen to paper’. The back four questions were simple, she just wrote about herself and what she had learned about this whole shinobi world.

The first question was the one that required some thought and the instructions were unclear. Everybody knew that Genin and Students had access to different basics, what was the question asking of her?
Was that part of the test? Comprehension?
Whatever.

The youngest Dezaki smiled warmly and skipped up to her sensei at the front, her footsteps as silent as ever, only distracting the other students with motion alone. With a simple bow, she placed her exam in front of him and left as quickly as possible. It didn’t matter if she passed or not, it wasn’t like she wanted to become an official ninja anyway.

It was the day he wrote the Genin exam, and besides a mild excitement, the only other thing that could be seen on his face was the tension. He had woken up early enough to prepare for his day, and now he was out and about. In fact, he was at the examination center with his writing equipment ready to be utilized. He walked through the doors just as everyone was settling down and was soon seated. It's going to be a long day

The papers would come out next and in just a little longer, he would know that he had 5 questions to answer. His nervousness had calmed down now that he was surrounded by other students, many equally as tensed, and some much worse off. Ichi, Ni, San, Yon,...Go. And it would be time to start writing. Nini was confident with question 2 and he would start with that first, soon making his way to the rest in numerical order. Once he was done he would go back to question one, after which he would revisit all questions to make sure he made no mistakes.

Yup, there we go. In good time he would be done, and he would turn in his paper and leave once instructed to.
