OOC: This is a class to learn the Nawanuke and Fuuin no Kai Basic Techniques. You do not need to learn both of these techniques, but if you post here, please, at least train one. This is not a standard RP thread, so please keep it light. Each of these jutsu require 2 paragraphs each in order to train. In total, at least 3 Basic Techniques must be learned in order to graduate to Genin.

Please refer to the Basic Techniques list for reference to these techniques.

IC: Upon entering the classroom, students would be treated to the sight of a ninja who had that characteristic sense of disappointment that came from one who was expected to do the same thing every single week of his life with no end in sight. This class was all about two basic techniques, Nawanuke no Jutsu, the Rope Escape Technique, and Fuuin no Kai, or Seal Release.

"We'll begin with Nawanuke no Jutsu. This technique is used to escape from rope bindings that someone may try to keep you tied up with. This one doesn't need any handseals; instead, you're focusing on your chakra to manipulate it outside of your body. There are two different ways to use this jutsu, and most make the decision on the fly. You can either loosen the ropes or cut them completely. Just envision your chakra doing what you need it to, and you should be alright." With that, the instructor would approach each student who signaled that he wished to try the jutsu, tie their hands with the backs of their palms facing each other, and step away as they tried to figure it out.

~~~
"Last, we'll try Fuuin no Kai. This jutsu also does not require handseals, but is only useful if there's a sealing object around you. This lets you put your hand on a seal belonging to a sealing object and use chakra to unseal whatever was held within. It's a pretty simple technique, you just put the chakra into the seal-but please, be careful. Not every seal is a sealing item seal, and even then, not every item that is sealed needs to be unsealed. The last thing you want is to try unsealing an explosive tag or putting your hand on top of a trapping seal. "
~~~

Once the instruction was completed, the instructor would write down the names of those who successfully completed each technique and allow the participants to leave. This was his life, day in and day out, and it never changed, not even the words he used, as he had long ago settled on exactly this phrasing.

OOC: Once you've completed this training, please post a thread here, using the Character Additions template. You may do this after each training session or when you've learned all the basics you intend to learn.

It was back in classes for the Uchiha boy, but the first part of the lecture was a bore. It wasn't that the teacher wasn't engaging, but Nini already knew that technique. Fortunately, he would not be tired enough to doze off, and would find that his concentration was still great when the teacher got to the other technique. The seal release technique was one that conceptually and practically would be very useful, and consequently the young lad had a buzz from merely listening to the teacher talk about it.

Materials had been provided for the learning, and so once the teacher gave the go ahead, Ninigi would get to it. He had the scroll laid out in front of him, contained in it were a few ninja tools, unleashing them was the task. He would make the proper hand seals and then spread his hands over the seal as though he was about to perform magic. The hand seals were just the easy part, the next task was him forcing chakra into the seal, just the right amount to undo the space/time preservation that had bound the object to it, but not too much chakra that he would merely brush the seal with usesless chakra.

Fuuin no Kai. On the first try his chakra would rustle the surface of the scroll and he would expect the rest to follow through automatically. Nope, that wasn't it. He went over the handseals again and attempted to interact with the scroll. This time he would be successful, pulling out a shiny kunai from it, a sight that brought a smile to his face. But something wasn't quite right, that wasn't all there was to it. He knew to attempt to pull out multiple objects from the seal. His effort would be rewarded handsomely as he pulled out half a dozen kunai in addition to the first. The jutsu would drain him for each one he pulled out but it was minimal. I like it.

Once he had made sure there weren't any items he could unseal left in the scroll, he would neatly roll it up, grab the unsealed items, and take them up to the teacher to report his progress.

Day two. Well, technically speaking, that wasn't true. Although it was her second day learning new jutsu, Keiko had been at the Academy for a total of five days already. A couple of days ago, she had learned the three basic of the basics for Academy Students to learn: the Clone technique, the Transformation technique and the Body Replacement technique. It was interesting how each use of chakra was slightly different yet gave completely different results from each other. The Kawarimi jutsu, for example, gave her an interesting sense of movement because she would move extremely fast without seeing clearly into a different location.

What would she learn today? We'll find out in the next episode of Dragon Ball Z~!!!

...

The Kaguya teen sat down in the same place she was at the last time a couple days past and listen to the instructor explain the details of Nawanuke no Jutsu. Basically a jutsu used to untie yourself should you find yourself.. tied up, this sends your chakra into the rope against your body to move it in a way so that it could loosen up. The teacher also said that one could use their chakra to cut the rope, which led to Keiko thinking about another application of using her bloodline to her advantage. If she extends one of her bones out of her body to cut the rope, she would not need this technique. However, it required a lot of her so-called chakra to take out her bones. It was also rather painful at times if she did it incorrectly. This technique would probably use a whole lot less of her chakra compared to using her bones so she would eagerly raise her hand and watch as her instructor wrap rope around her wrists.

Imagine loosening the knots that tie the rope together around your wrists. She had no idea how the rope was tied behind her so how would she be able to loosen the knots? This led to step two: cutting the rope. Imagine a knife doing its job of cutting the rope clean in one smooth motion. This was what she had to imagine. She felt her chakra concentrate itself towards her hands but she still needed to imagine the actual cutting motion of the 'blade' into the rope. Cut. Cut. Cut. And...

It was rather sudden, but she felt the tension around her wrists immediately loosen and the rope becoming slack. It looked liked it worked. Keiko examined her wrists and looked for any 'rope burns' or any visible injuries the rope could have caused her. Seeing none, she nodded complacently to herself as she sat herself back down into the chair and waited for everyone else to finish their technique. She completed the Rope Untying technique.

Even without her hands tied, she passed the time quickly by mentally picturing her chakra loosening an imaginary rope around her body. Image training was important, but the best would be to actually be in the real thing. And although she would prefer the real experience to a mental one, Keiko did not want to be bound in rope. Soon, the whole class was able to perform the technique.

Satisfied, the teacher went back to the front of the room and began his second explanation for the next technique. Fuuin no Kai. Unsealing. This was something new, and it was also something Keiko wanted to do. Smiling, she looked like she was jumping up and down in her seat as she waited for her scroll to be placed in front of her. When it was, she looked down at the long piece of paper and examined it. Like a typical scroll, it was rolled up neatly around the edges but the middle part of the scroll was what was interesting. It had a kanji for the word 'seal' on it and the girl was curious what exactly was inside. She hovered her hand over the scroll and inserted her own chakra inside, imagining whatever item was inside to come out. But if she didn't know what item was inside, How was she able to get it out?

Like most beginners, her first try didn't work out soo well. She tried a different way of thinking and instead thought to unseal whatever it was that was inside. Sending her chakra through her palm and into the scroll, she watched with awe as a small amount of smoke poofed from nowhere and a metallic object popped out of thin air. A kunai. One of the basic ninja tools. She was able to unseal a weapon from the scroll. That was soo cool!! She thought of other applications where unsealing things would help her out. After unsealing five more kunai in similar fashion, she thought about the uses sealing would do. Keiko would be able to seal those dreaded explosive tags inside and once they were 'unsealed' they would immediately explode, leaving a trap for whoever opened the scroll unintentionally. The girl wondered if she could seal other things aside from items like chakra or even people. Research was needed to learn more about Fuuinjutsu, and it was this research thaht she would gladly do to sate her curiosity towards the subject.

Keiko stood up from her seat and approached the teacher with her kunai and empty scroll in hand, leaving them on the table and thanking the teacher for the valuable lesson. She then walked out of the classroom and headed straight for the library.
