Hello World of Ninja Beta Testers!

One of the most important aspects of Beta testing is identifying bugs in the systems. We have created this thread to compile all found bugs in one place where the WoN staff can identify them and correct them. At this time, we are looking for the following specific types of bugs:

Spelling and Grammar

Because it affects clarity and general understanding, it is important that all guides, lists etc be correctly spelled, punctuated and otherwise grammatically correct.

Users will receive 100 Ryu to their primary user account per spelling and grammar mistake found that is corrected by the staff.

Inconsistent Guides/Rules or Rules/Guides that do not make sense

If you find a rule or a guide where it is unclear to you what the meaning is, or if you find guides or rules that contradict one another, please let us know. This also includes if there is vital information missing from a guide or a template.

Please Note: This does not include rules you understand, but think should work differently.

Users will receive 500 Ryu per inconsistency or confusion actually corrected, sent to their primary user account.

At the end of Beta Phase 2, each user who submitted at least one bug will receive 5 skill points to their main RPC account.

All other Suggestions or Questions Should be posted as their own thread in the Question and Suggestion Forum.

All bugs should be submitted as responses to this thread in the following format:

Thread(s) with Bug: Please organize multiple bugs from the same guide under a single report for ease of correction. If there are guides or rules that disagree across multiple threads, please link all relevant threads.
Bug Type: Please organize all grammar/spelling/punctuation bugs together, and all other bugs together separate from spelling and grammar
Bug Details: This should be where you describe the bugs you found in specific detail. Quotes and blurbs from guides and lists are ideal

Total Bugs: 3 rule-consistency bugs

Thread(s) With Bug: Taijutsu List
Bug Type: Inconsistency/Imbalance
Bug Details: Kanfuu Nigiri [Kung Fu Grip] requires 60 strength as a B-rank technique. 50 is the max strength for an average chuunin.

Daisharin [Giant Swing] likewise requires 50 strength. Still doable, but it seems poorly optimized. I feel like these were just taken from jinsei and not adjusted for our numbers here.

Tsutenkyaku [Heavenly Foot of Pain] and Haru no Shuurai [Coming of Spring Kick] both have the same issue, but are A-ranked and require 75 strength/speed.

Corrected all 3 - 1500

Thread(s) With Bug: Trait List
Bug Type: Inconsistency
Bug Details: The list of skills has changed. This alters several traits that give skills more points. I could go through them all, but I feel like I wouldn't get credit for the extra work. If you tell me I would, then I'll gladly tell you each and every individual one.

This has already been corrected and wasn't overlooked on our part; we were just slow about getting to it.

Thread(s) With Bug: Armor/Material Rules
Bug Type: Inconsistency
Bug Details: In the description for armor weight, lower class armor has a weight given for Torso, and a separate weight for head/arms/legs. Class B materials and higher only give a Torso weight for armor.

Not exactly a bug. Those descriptions only give rough estimates anyways, not required totals.

Thread(s) With Bug: Summon Template
Bug Type: Inconsistency
Bug Details:

[1] The Skills listed on the template are from the old skill system

[2] The "Pact" section is listed in the text but not the code

[3] The "Perception" stat is listed in the text but not the code

[4] There is no gender field in either the code or the text.

Thread(s) With Bug: Pet Template
Bug Type: Inconsistency
Bug Details:

[1] Skill section references the old skill system.

[2] Template is missing Perception Attribute

Skills had been updated previously, as had Pact. All other bugs were corrected. Pets were also missing Gender, which has been added as well. - 2000

Thread(s) With Bug: Trait Listing
Bug Type: Typo
Bug Details:
QUOTE

Call of the Wild
Description: You have built your pets up to an even greater level of strength. Requires Beast Master.
Benefit: Your pets have an additional 5% more attribute points. (10% total with predecessor)
Cost: 3

This refers to "Beast Master," however, when searching from Beast Master the appropriate trait is actually one word - "Beastmaster" rather than what is listed under the Elite Trait.

Corrected - 100

Thread(s) With Bug: Custom Trait Template
Bug Type: Rule Inconsistency
Bug Details: The trait type still lists the trait sections that used to be, rather than the ones that are (examples still include sensory traits, etc).

Fixed - 500

Thread(s) With Bug: Winter Country Report
Bug Type: Inconsistent Guide
Bug Details: The report lists the Nara clan as being apart of Winter Country, when they seem to be a part of Wood.

"In the few large-scale military operations it is involved in, the Winter Country tends to fight defensively, preferring to send only a small force of volunteers supplemented by a few elite ninja. The ninja of the country, due to the relationship of the three founding clans, tend to focus on teamwork and interlocking strategy-strategy that is unmatched, due to the relative genius of the Nara clan.

Thread(s) With Bug: Village Reports (Specifically Wood Country)
Bug Type: Missing Guide
Bug Details: Information on the Kage's other than what the Kage title of each country is called (Kikage, Fuyukage, ect) are not readily available. If a question, such as say for example from the Academy Exams, asks for information on the Kage, this would prove extremely difficult unless the name of the Kage could be found from snooping in random RP threads. @_@ [True Story]

Thread(s) With Bug: Global Ninjutsu
Bug Type: Inconsistency
Bug Details:
Spoiler (Show/Hide)
  Dokukiri [Poison Mist]
Rank: B
Requirements: Dokuiki
Description: The user performs a series of handseals and expels a long stream of mist. This mist is laced with one of the user's poisons, allowing the user to infect multiple targets at once.
Cost: 45 + Cost of Poison

Dokugiri [Poison Mist]
Rank: B
Requirements: Appropriate Poison
Description: The user performs a series of handseals, transforming their chakra into one of their liquid poisons. The chakra is then expelled from the user's mouth as a fine mist, allowing those who inhale the mist to be stricken by the poison. This technique's appearance is dependent on that of the poison used.
Limitations: This technique has a range of 15 feet in front of the user. While the user is not necessarily placed within the cloud immediately, they are not immune to the poison produced by this technique. This limitation cannot be removed, though the range can be expanded to 30 feet.
Weaknesses: The mist can be turned back on the user with a small amount of wind. This weakness cannot be removed.
Cost: 55

These two jutsu are essentially the same. One costs less, leaves room for all types of poisons and requires a D rank, while the other (doing the same thing) has a slightly higher cost, no cost for the poison, and is specific with size and type of poison usage.

Thread(s) With Bug: Advanced Ability Guide
Bug Type: Inconsistency
Bug Details: [Insert Improved Element] Mastery is missing an AA point amount

Thread(s) With Bug: Basic Weaponry and Poison Guide
Bug Type: Spelling/Grammer
Bug Details: The coding for the spoiler tag got botched in the poison section

Thread(s) With Bug: Puppet Template
Bug Type: Bad Hyperlink.
Bug Details: In the first part of the template the Puppet Guide link doesn't work.

Thread(s) With Bug: Element Listing
Bug Type: Rule Inconstancy.
Bug Details: At the end of the first paragraph it says "or by purchasing extra elements from the Ninja Shop". Elements aren't bought from the shop.

Thread(s) With Bug: Senju/Uzumaki Clans - Body of the Sage
Bug Type: Rule Clarification.
Bug Details: In the One Thousands Skill section it says that Advanced Elements cost 1 Advanced Ability Point less; Mokuton is free if the user possesses the proper elements. More clarification on that you can't bring a AA down to 0. Maybe something like this?

Advanced Elements cost 1 Advanced Ability Point less, to a minimum of 1; Mokuton is free if the user possesses the proper elements.

Thread(s) With Bug: Trait List
Bug Type: ??
Bug Details: Not sure how big a deal it is but there are two traits with the same name and then there's a small insertion:
QUOTE

Benefit: Speed +2
Cost: 1

Penalty: 0 Perception (Vision in one eye) and decreased peripheral vision
Worth: 3

Trait type: Negative traits

Illiterate
Description: You are completely incapable of reading and writing; these concepts don't make sense to you, and you can glean no understanding from any of those weird swiggles and lines.
