CODE
Kouten confronts Uncle Nomura, wielding his sword for want of a bloody confrontation. Fearful that he might die from Kouten, he strikes back first with his own sword. Little does the exiled Prince Kouten know, Uncle Nomura's weapon is poisoned with a paralytic. In the midst of the sword fight, however, the new King drops his poisoned sword. Kouten retrieves the sword and cuts his uncle. The lethal poison paralyzes the King, allowing Kouten to deliver the finishing blow.

At least that was part of the script to be acted out upon. As time drew closer and closer, Masaki, the main actor playing as Prince Kouten, began to act visibly nervous and anxious about the upcoming fight scene.

Random Actor #1 got out of the tent, holding with him a sharp prop sword used for the upcoming fight. Nomura and Kei would make eye contact with each other briefly before the actor continued back towards the stage. The clone wouldn't be able to sense any malice or any ill intent coming from the actor; he was trained to hide his emotions and perform the job. Right now, he was Uncle Nomura, the person who was about to fight with Prince Kouten.

The man in the back would begin to move, walking ever soo slowly, hugging the wall as he moved. He was approaching Stage Right, where the actors and actresses usually use to enter and exit the stage.

Dead That was an understatement, this play was horrible. Ninigi watched closely for long and then turned his neck round to survey the general mood of the crowd as well as for any weird people. Something came across his mind and he decided to look out for the grumpy man at the back once more. His clones were in the crowd too but at different rows. They had a good view too. Well if I had some popcorn I wouldn't mind watching the death of this shit.

He would be facing the stage once more with keen eyes. The play was evidently approaching some kind of finale slowly but surely. He would need to follow closely to prevent any upsets. He would let his hands tap the weapons in his pockets just to still feel their presence. He knew things could get messy and it could come down to one moment of brilliance and sharpness. His sharingan would most likely be required of him any moment from now. Here we go...

While Actor #1, aka the King with the sword, went back towards the stage, Kei had appeared off to the side coincidentally near the location where the 'man in the back' was approaching, trying to get eye contact with the original Kaguya teenager. When they did, she gave a hand sign for 'sword' and pointed at the King. Keiko's emerald eyes traced the imaginary line back to the actor and nodded once. Kei looked off in the direction and slowly began walking back towards the back of the stage.

I wonder if it is possible to talk with my clones through my mind alone. This would save a lot of time and greatly increase our coordination during times like this. I'll do some research and figure out a way.

Keiko smiled to herself and looked back towards the stage. It seemed like Masaki was beginning to fret a little, as evident of his physical actions. She sensed that something was going wrong and brought her full attention to the stage while her clones did a good job watching the area. One of them had their eye on the 'man the back' as he came closer towards the actors and actresses near the stage but either stayed in their seats or had their hands at the ready.

As the play slowly came to its climax, King Nomura stepped onto the stage, his sword sheathed by his side as the next scene entered. It was time for young Kouten to assault his uncle and avenge his father's death. The actor's eyes kept flitting towards the audience as if he was trying to find the people who accosted him, the baddies from the bandit syndicate. He was losing his composure and slowly a few people began to notice it. Some of the audience members were quietly discussing amongst themselves about the lead actor's behavior. He was relatively famous in the play world, and for him to lose his composure was something ultimately strange to all.

Nevertheless, Kouten had brandished his sword and said his lines to Uncle Nomura and began swinging his sword, trying to 'kill' the King. Actor #1 pulled out his sword in response and blocked the oncoming swing before the two began the ritual of crossing swords for a minute, both cursing out the other.

Mr. 'Man in the Back' placed his hand slowly into his pocket and took out a small 'blowdart gun'-looking contraption and held it within his hands. It was too small for it to be visible as it was safely hidden within his hand. He had moved into a position that allowed him to get a good view of the two actors on top of the stage.

Perhaps if Ninigi had the hearing of a dog, he would have had overwhelming evidence from the whispers going on in the audience to decide something was up for sure. But he was condemned to work with his human ears and instinct. Sharingan His eyes would turn crimson red with a couple swirling designs on them in an instant. He could see the actor's jittering, but he couldn't put every line together. What he seemed to feel for certain, was that the swords were sharp as could be, and that they were going to play a big role in whatever ill was about to happen.

If it's all happening according to script, nothing I do should be upsetting right? His clones were sitting at the front row and could probably react to whatever before he did. At this point they secretly clutched projectiles just in case they needed to act fast. Ninigi who was disguised at Sakura had a different mission for himself. If his standing up caused some distraction, either by way of Sakura's stardom or otherwise, the bad guys were sure to capitalize on the small commotion.

He was going to be advancing to the back with the hope of catching any malicious attacks that were coming from the crowd. He took a deep breath and got up from his chair, his facecap inclined to try to hide his face and his eyes a bit slit to hide them. He would then proceed to walk towards the back. Oh look, it's that grumpy guy.

Keiko waited with bated breath as the play soon came to its zenith. As the first sword fight crossed the stage, sounds of 'ooo's and 'ahh's escaped the audience's lips, their eyes also glued to the scene before them. To have such a well choreographed sword fight to look soo realistic was always fascinating to people such as these.

She had her eye on Masaki the lead actor for quite a while now, and the girl noticed the small differences in his behavior. Of course, she knew why he was acting this way; his life was being threatened and that his death would happen really soon according to the message left behind. The lead actor probably felt that someone in the audience was out to get him and that he would die in front of dozens and dozens of people.

The Kaguya had her hands ready in front of her, ready to act on a moment's notice. With Ninigi keeping watch on the crowd, hopefully, she would focus more on the happenings of the stage. Although she didn't see the man on the side with his concealed weapon, her clones did have vision on him and were equally prepared to move whenever they can.

[Man in the Back] waited and waited for the best time to attack. With his clear view of the stage and his close proximity to his target, all he had to do was wait until the chance came up. And voila. It happened. The lead actor Masaki and the Random Actor #1 who was playing as King Nomura had just crossed swords, in which the latter deflected a sword strike aimed at his head. It now looked like the King was about to deal the final blow to the young Prince. Random Actor #1 lifted his sword high into the sky as if signalling to the world that this was the point where he shall slay the Prince.

According to script, this was the point where Prince Kouten was about to make his quick attack on the King which would result in him losing his weapon. Sounds of gasps and horror sounded out from the audience's mouth while others covered their mouths silently in horror.

However...

The [Man in the Back] quickly and efficiently lifted his hand to his face and blew hard on the end of his blowdart thingymajiger, releasing two swift darts flying towards the lead actor. One towards his neck, and the other towards his chest. The speed at which the assailant did his attack led one to believe that he wasn't a normal thug or criminal. Was he an assassin? Who knows except the NPCer?

The two darts would reach Masaki before he would have his chance to perform his scripted counter attack.

It was all comical to observe from a distance. Ninigi and Keiko were out here protecting an actor, but they probably both didn't care about the play enough to watch it. Well, Ninigi certainly did, but Keiko's love for books probably meant that she was not too distant from literature enough to appreciate the play. He had gotten up to get a wider and more comfortable view and had seen the grumpy man once again. A whim would play out and another funny thing would happen. Ninigi would decide to stand beside the man. Surely he could appreciate a "lady" standing next to him in some capacity. Perhaps she wanted to converse, or she was just stretching her legs, either way a lady was never a bad thing by default.

Of course, his positioning would potentially alter things at least a bit. He faced the stage but his eyes were mostly juggling between his clones, the stage, the Keikos, and a side eye just to see if that man gave a damn about him. If it would so turn out that the grumpy man felt he could still take out the actor with the cap-wearing girl next to him, things would get a bit messy.

Should the man pull the blowgun to his mouth, Ninigi's sharingan would observe the darts fly out of the man's closed fist kept in front of his mouth. He would whisper to the man. "Who sent you? Did they mention that you could die? I hope you brought back up." His hands had pulled out kunai secretly and his questions had been meant to intimidate while he assessed the situation visually.

One of Kaguya's clones had spotted Sakura standing up and walking off to the side but with no real way of contacting Keiko, it simply kept an eye on Ninigi's Henge'd appearance and that general vicinity. Because of this, Keiku was one of the first to see the 'Man in the Back' shoot two projectiles towards the actors on stage. With wide eyes, she quickly reacted and flipped through three hand seals in less than a second and focused her chakra towards the main actor: Masaki.

Using Kawarimi swiftly moved both people into their respective places, with Keiku moving where the actor was and Masaki now appearing in the audience. While it was an Academy Basic Jutsu, its applications and usefulness was well deserved of the technique. Several ninja uses this technique to evade danger while a variant of this technique can be used to head into danger.

With the clone now in the lead actor's place, it faced two oncoming threats that were difficult to dodge at the last second. Barely being able to block the sword strike from above and dodging the darts from the side, Keiku the clone would stop the play decisively with an entrance. Of course, the clone looked like a typical bystander, but to those that knew like Ninigi, they would realize that it would be one of her clones that defended the actor.

Meanwhile, back at the audience, Masaki was almost immediately confused at the situation, but another of Keiko's clones had approached him to stand guard the best she could.

Keiko herself saw the quick Replacement between her clone and the actor and noticed a bit too late about the scene happening at the side of the stage. She quickly looked to where Keiku's positioning was earlier and spotted the actor visibly confused. She rose from her seat and headed in his direction, placing him as her number one priority in protection detail.

Mr. [Man in the Back] would obviously notice the person approaching him but still decided to continue attacking. He just didn't know that there was another person watching his every detail. As soon as he launched the attack and Ninigi began speaking his first couple of words in Sakura's voice, another dart would appear in his hand and be swung directly towards the idol's neck at a speed one could consider almost deadly.

The trained assailant would also see that his attack failed in the distance, with another person appearing right where the actor was. Regretfully, all he could do was focus on Ninigi. As soon as this person was incapacitated would he try to find Masaki and kill him with a different weapon. The darts were only used to paralyze, but it was highly effective in assassinations. He was trying to have the other actor kill the lead accidentally and nothing would lead to him. However he was caught.

On stage, Random Actor #1, aka King Nomura, aka guy with the sword would put a lot more power in his downwards strike than normal. While normally the script would show that Kouten would counter attack at this particular moment in time, the random actor had different thoughts. He really wanted to kill Masaki. As for his reasons? Continue RPing and you'll see. When his sword was blocked by Keiku, he was astonished and blinked his eyes repeatedly. What just happened? Where did Masaki go?

- - -

So basically, the guy has his dart in his hand like he would a kunai, and try to stab it into your neck the moment you said "Who sent-" Just to be clear http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Nothing was ever straightforward in the ninja world. Ninigi was never going to have a calm chat with the "man in the back" and he knew it. He had merely gone through with his first statement when the man tried to attack. He was quick, and fortunately Ninigi was fairly quick himself. His eyes made things easier for him, allowing him to spot the man's arm as it gave the slightest hint of moving in slow motion, the swing progressing from being a subtle hint to a stabbing attack. Ninigi's body would swiftly lean out of the way so that his neck was out of range for the attack while the hand in his kunai would be in motion to catch the attacking forearm around the wrist. If it connected blood would be drawn from the slash.

His other hand would then reach to grab the man by the chest as he imitated a popular taijutsu manoeuver. If he successfully grabbed the man, he would fall back in a roll to the ground, and use the momentum, along with a kick to throw the man over his body into the other direction. If succeeded he would have gotten the man further from the crowd.

His clones in the meanwhile were aware of the situation. They could see what was going on very clearly on both sides, but not at the same time. Between themselves, one would decide to stay near the stage in case the Keiks needed assistance while the other one would be making its way around the audience from the other side to come and support the Pop icon that was Ninigi.

Keiku was surprised. The force behind the blow was enough to let her know that it wasn't just an act. With a single kunai in her hand preventing the sword from moving any further, the clone attempted to subdue the random actor just in case. She let the blade slide off to the side while she stepped forwards and placed a single fist just beneath his jaw, knocking him upwards and out. Should she be imitating boxing, it was a clean uppercut although it looked like it wouldn't have much power into it. However, it was decisive and accurate, cleanly hitting the place where she wants to hit.

With Keiko herself and another of her clones near Masaki to protect him from any further danger, she could consider her part in the mission as completed. She took another glance at Ninigi who would thwart the other person with a kick. She smiled and nodded to herself. Still, there could be more, so she remained vigilant. She and her clones would continue analyzing the audience around them with steady eyes.

Ninigi's kunai would be met with the metallic edge of the dart preventing said blood from flowing. However, his other hand would connect, which resulted in the man being kicked towards the wall. With a clean acrobatic maneuver, the assassin would land on his feet and use Chouyaku [Leap] to jump over the wall and attempt to escape. If the man would get far enough, he would be able to dart through the alleyways and people surrounding the play grounds and vanish from view.

In the middle of the stage, the sword wielding actor would see that his sword would suddenly move downwards and at the same time, a fist appearing right beneath him, hitting him squarely in the jaw. He fell backwards and was knocked out cold.

Meanwhile, the audience was shocked at the turn of events. Those that have watched this play before would be the most surprised as they would see things not turning out the way it would have. Those of the younger generation would get on their feet and shout in fervor, entranced and captivated by the sudden confrontations happening both on and off the stage. The remaining few who haven't seen the play before thought that this was part of the script and had their different views and discussions about the changes.

Masaki saw the events happening on stage and looked onwards with wide eyes. The director was in his seat, his mouth gaped open by what he saw.

Ninja enough Was the thought that sharply ran through Ninigi's head as the assailant guarded his wrist from the blade of the kunai. His movement was sharp and he was able to react swiftly, it was impressive. Unfortunately Ninigi's acrobatics would catch him and the man would soon find himself kicked towards the wall on the other side. Being an especially watchful ninja, Ninigi's eyes would be on the foe as he landed perfectly. And once the man leaped into the air, Ninigi would fling his kunai at the Ninja's back as fast as he could, hoping to draw blood.

Jumping unto his feet himself he would use Leap to proceed to jump unto the ledge of the wall himself, only flashing the stage a glance while he was aerial. Once he was on the fence he would only have eyes for the assailant. His sharingan would have allowed him get a proper glance of the stage in that short glance and he could see that Keiko was fine. Raising his hand in the air he would raise one finger and point at his direction before chasing after his foe. The signal was for just one of his clones to accompany him.

Keiko looked over towards Ninigi once more, letting her clones perform the more menial tasks of keeping an eye out and protecting the actor from any additional harm. As such, while they brought Masaki over towards the tent to better protect him, they also brought the unconscious Random Actor #1, aka King Nomura with them. The young Kaguya would notice the signal that wasn't meant for her and simply interpreted it as a signal for her to follow.

Even though the Uchiha was already by the wall ready to jump over to pursue the 'Man in the Back', she had to stop momentarily to figure out their mission objectives once more. They were able to protect Masaki, so that was good. They also needed to subdue and capture any assailants. That was a work in progress. Lastly, they needed to enjoy the show..

Mm.. that could be falsified in the report they would send later. It wasn't too much in both Keiko and Ninigi's realm of expertise to properly appreciate such weird stories. The girl blinked her eyes and jumped from the middle of the crowd to the wall ledge to Ninigi's location, trying to catch up to him in his pursuit to catch the assailant.

Being an assassin means being prepared for any and all eventualities. This would include being interrupted in the assassination scene itself. This also meant that when he jumped over the wall, he had his back to the wall and easily deflected the kunai being thrown at him. He landed with the deftness of a ninja and speedily ran away. Close behind the assassin was Ninigi chasing. Close behind Ninigi was Keiko chasing.

Meanwhile, the assassin would utilize several ninja techniques to try to escape his pursuers. Chouyaku [Leap], Bunshin [Clone], Henge [Transformation], Kawarimi [Body Replacement], Ki Nobori [Tree Walking], and Shunshin [Body Flicker], were several of the techniques he used to outwit and confuse the two genin pursuing him. He himself studied the ninja arts, utilizing his chakra to perform miraculous feats far better than any other Academy Students or Genin could ever do.

Slipping around buildings, jumping over rooftops, running on walls, the assassin tried his best to hide from the two genin behind him. While his speed and agility were slightly above the two genins', his craftiness and cleverness were far above theirs. Age and experience were gained over time, which was something the two youngsters did not have.

The assailant had deflected the thrown projectile from Ninigi and had run off. Shit. Everything would go on as imagined; Ninigi would leap over the wall, glancing at the stage and signalling for a clone to follow him. He would be over the wall in almost an instant to continue his pursuit but unknown to him not just a clone would follow. Keiko had also considered herself a target of said signal. Truth be told he didn't want to take her out of her duty, but he would be glad when he found out she was on the trail as well.

The criminal had obviously planned his exit or at least considered it. The ease and deftness with which he slithered through the terrain trying to shake Ninigi off had impressed the genin. The man was crafty as he was skillful. His antics were especially tiring but the genin would be doing his best to keep up as much as his body could. His sharingan meant that where his body was slacking his eyes would not let go.
