Side Characters

Hello, forum-dweller! If you've been here for a while, you may have noticed that this forum is designed around ninja; however, ninja aren't the only people in the world-they're actually a minority. Even the ninja we RP are actually the supposed to be considered the best or most interesting of the bunch, and are themselves a minority within the ninja community. So, if ninja are the few, and our characters are the fewer, who are the many?

Side characters, that's who! Side Characters come in four different flavors; they can be normal, every day civilians; they can be high ranking military officials who lack the martial training of the ninja; they can be minor ninja, those ninja who appear in the background, and on the best of days, might be able to give a main ninja a tough time if they were sick; lastly, they can be public figures, people who have political or economic influence on the world around them. In each case, there are specific rules that must be followed for each.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Side Characters cannot have advance abilities, other than their clan's bloodline, if applicable. Part of the reason these characters are not the main characters of the story is because they are in no way extraordinary. They DO, however, retain access to a Clan's Special Ability, if a Minor Ninja.

IMPORTANT NOTE - DO NOT use your side characters to harvest bloodlines, for yourself or others. If we find out you're doing it, you will lose your Side Character privileges, and whoever obtained bloodlines from one of your characters will be stripped of both the bloodline and the AA points used to fill it. We're not kidding.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Side Characters are not made with their own sub-accounts. As such, they can also not gain NP, as it would not be possible to identify their inventories. When posting with a side character, please use your main account.

When creating a Side Character, please use the Character Creation Template and delete the sections that do not pertain to the Side Character in question. Title Side Character applications like this: [Character Type] Name

Civilians

Civilians are characters who have no ninja abilities, have little to no economic or political clout, and have no military authority-in other words, they're normal people, the 99% of the world who just are trying to get by. Civilians have limited attributes, inventories, and influence, but here's the other side of that-you have no limit on how many Civilians you want to make.

[1] Civilians may have no attribute over 20.
[2] Civilians receive 30 Ninja Points.
[3] Civilians may not use Ninja Points on Spirituality.
[4] Civilians may not use Ninja Points on Chakra Control, Concentration, any Ninjutsu Skill, or any Genjutsu skill other than Resilience.
[5] Civilians may not use Ninja Points on any jutsu other than D-rank Taijutsu.
[6] Civilians get 1 basic weapon, with no specialties. They may also have ammunition for the weapon, if applicable.
[7] Civilians may not use Ninja Points on any on traits affecting jutsu use or chakra in any fashion unless it applies to their Taijutsu.

Minor Ninja

Minor Ninja are characters that have received ninja training, but failed to stand out. As a result, these characters are typically worse than RPCs of the same rank.

[1] For every RPC ninja you own, you may make one Minor Ninja character.
[2] A Minor Ninja is the same rank as the RPC slot it belongs to, up to Chuunin Rank.
[3] A Minor Ninja must abide by their rank's Attribute Caps.
[4] A Minor Ninja may receive 40 Ninja Points per rank, up to 120.
[5] A Minor Ninja may have 3 AS Basics if they are Genin or higher, and 3 Genin Basics if they are Chuunin.
[6] Minor Ninja can carry one Primary Weapon and any ammunition it requires, plus basic ninja weaponry.
[7] Minor Ninja can come along on missions but fill RPC slots for missions (Meaning less RPCs can attend). They do not count as RPCs for team mission bonuses, and completing a mission by yourself with minor ninja helping you does not allow for the solo mission bonus. Additionally, a Minor Ninja does not give the normal bonus for training in a group; instead, it counts as training with a solid clone.

Military Officials

Military Officials are physically like normal civilians. However, they have military authority, often putting them in charge of other civilians military members. A rare few might even be given command of ninja forces, though this depends on the organization in question; in a village, a ninja's ultimate authority will always be another ninja. A member may only have 1 Military Official character.

MILITARY OFFICIALS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST A CHUUNIN RPC

[1] Military Officials may have no attribute over 20.
[2] Military Officials receive 45 Ninja Points
[2] Military Officials may not use Ninja Points on Spirituality.
[3] Military Officials may not use Ninja Points on Chakra Control, Concentration, any Ninjutsu Skill, or any Genjutsu skill other than Resilience.
[4] Military Officials may only use Ninja Points on Taijutsu. Of these, they may have any number of D-ranks and up to 1 C-rank.
[5] Military Officials get 1 basic weapon, with no specialties. They may also have ammunition for the weapon, if applicable.
[6] Military Officials may not use Ninja Points on traits affecting jutsu use or chakra in any fashion unless it applies to their Taijutsu.

Public Figures

Public Figures are civilians who possess significant economic or political clout. These may be political leaders, the leaders of powerful economic organizations, or rich nobles. They often have the power to affect change in their sphere of influence, sometimes on a national level.

PUBLIC FIGURES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST A JOUNIN RPC

[1] Public Figures may have no attribute over 20.
[2] Public Figures receive 30 Ninja Points.
[3] Public Figures may not use Ninja Points on Spirituality.
[4] Public Figures may not use Ninja Points on Chakra Control, Concentration, any Ninjutsu Skill, or any Genjutsu skill other than Resilience.
[5] Public Figures may not use Ninja Points on any jutsu other than D-rank Taijutsu.
[6] Public Figures get 1 basic weapon, with no specialties. They may also have ammunition for the weapon, if applicable.
[7] Public Figures may not use Ninja Points on any on traits affecting jutsu use or chakra in any fashion unless it applies to their Taijutsu.
[8] Public Figures can have substantial IC wealth or political importance, but may not be created already at the top of their field; ie, you cannot create the reigning leader of a Country or Capital.
