Setting: A little after the meeting with the Asakage upon her return and before the creation of Vivian Hyuuga's genin team.

"So what am I supposed to do with you?"

The animal in question was sleeping soundly on the top of her head without a care in the world. Yuzuha, or how Keiko deemed to call her now, was a small white fox newborn that she had picked up inside a cave in the region of Yamagakure. While the story about how they came to meet was rather morbid, the result was that they were now together.

While foxes are omnivores that feed both on meat and plant matter, the young cub was content on feeding off of berries that Keiko scrounged up in the mountainside. Every once in a while, Keiko would catch a rabbit and cut it up into small bits for her new companion to eat. And so, the daily life of eating and sleeping was soon established.

Keiko was walking towards a nice foresty area inside Akarigakure. In her left hand was her umbrella, covering the sun from hitting directly upon the two beings. The story behind the creation of this particular item was by far more interesting and easier to talk than Yuzuha's.

While traveling the lands of Seichi for a good half year, she felt that she needed an inconspicuous luxury item that she could bring anywhere and everywhere that could conceal several items she could use for combat. The entire planning process took about a month, while further refining it took another. The entirety of the umbrella frame would be supplied by Keiko herself through the use of shaping her bones, but the cloth and materials like the canvas needed to be found and created specifically for her style.

In the end, several weeks was spent researching on possible materials and the process of transforming said material into an item that was capable of defensive combat that she had in mind. By the time she gathered everything, a third of a year passed. Keiko went into seclusion near the forests of present day Kawagakure between the mountain and the forest and began crafting her very own weapon.

Several revisions after creating the umbrella was made possible through the use of Shikotsumyaku, allowing her to bend and shape the bone to either become extremely sturdy in some parts and very flexible in others.

Yuzuha would spend this time wandering around the forest trying to find something to do or eat and at other times laze around and sleep on a soft patch of moss.

The finished product was her large, over-sized, Umbrella that weighs more than it should. The good thing about it is that while others can hold and wield it, its specialties can only be brought out by Keiko herself. The reason? Because of her ability to manipulate bones.

"Wake up Yuzuha. We're finally here."

Keiko stopped in a clearing. Surrounding her completely was a wall of trees while the inside was filled with grass, flowers, and the sun high above. At the sound of her name, the young fox lazily opened up one eye and looked at the view from her high vantage point. Seemingly interested in the clearing, it attempted to stand up on her head only to fall back down because of its sleepiness.

The Kaguya knelt down to the ground and raised her hands to her head, picking up the fluffy creature and placing her down onto a patch of grass. It immediately sniffed the grass, flowers, and the air, trying to grasp where she exactly was. After a while, exploration time began, trotting this way and that while taking in the sights and smells.

Meanwhile, Keiko sat down and fiddled with her hair. In the past, she used to diligently comb her hair so she could get the right pattern down every single day. She wasn't soo stuck up on 'tradition' now however; the girl let her hair flow down smoothly without any sort of change. Soon enough, once Keiko gets back home, she might have a change in attire as well. The genin was done with trying to obey the Kaguya rules and traditions. It was time for her to be herself.

She sighed as she lied down on the grass, taking in the sun and the sweet smell of the flowers. Keiko closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The young fox spent almost an entire hour just exploring the clearing while occasionally reaching the trees at the edge. The scents here were most definitely different but it wasn't scary. The clearing had a more happy vibe to it while the forest surrounding this private spot was older and felt cooler in comparison.

Yuzuha was used to the colder regions near Yamagakure. The desert-like Akari was just too hot for her. Once she felt like she had enough of the heat, she trotted back over to Keiko's sleeping form and curled up underneath the umbrella next to the young female and went to sleep as well.

There, they passed the time in silence for another hour or so before Keiko woke up. She blinked her eyes and rubbed them with the back of her hand as she sat up straight. The Kaguya did not intend to stay out here for such a long time, but it felt too good to just finally relax and know that you are safe. The wilderness did not provide such luxury; the threat of animals, Akuma, and natural needs like water and food were ever present. Here, in the safety and comfort of her village, Keiko realized just how much she missed home.

The silvery-haired female of sixteen looked over to her companion's sleeping form and smiled. She placed her hand on top of the fluffy body and shook her gently.

"Let's go back home Yuzuha, back to my home.."

While she was happy that she would be able to see her family again, the thought of speaking to Katsu and his aggressiveness bore a small amount of discomfort in the girl.
