Description: The user erects a transparent spherical barrier around an object within their line of sight, with a base size of 10 feet wide. This barrier, while transparent, shimmers with a silver light, which is more pronounced during formation. When objects strike the outside of the barrier, they emerge out of the opposite side on the outside of the barrier and continue unimpeded along their flight path, as if they'd never touched the barrier or anything inside it-essentially, objects that strike the barrier skip over the barrier and its contents, as if they weren't ever there. Similarly, when an object strikes the inside of the barrier, it emerges from the opposite point on the inside, continuing with its momentum unimpeded towards the center of the barrier. The user may erect this barrier around their own body as well. The user may expand the size of the barrier-doing so does not affect the barrier's formation time, but it does cost additional chakra.

Limitations: This barrier takes 3 seconds to form completely. Should only part of an object touch the barrier while another does not, the object is still considered whole, regardless of the appearance of the object-the part touching will continue being displaced until contact is broken, however.

Weaknesses: Striking the barrier during formation causes the barrier to shatter, wasting half of this jutsu's chakra. Striking the barrier with a solid object that is larger than the barrier causes the barrier to shatter, cancelling the effect. Only solid objects may do this-energy such as pure chakra, liquids, and gases do not trigger this effect unless they have explicitly been given the characteristics of a solid object.

Drawbacks: Use of this technique damages the user's left eye, inducing bloodloss from the eye and permanently reducing the user's eyesight in the left eye (both clarity and range) by 5%. This reduction is always calculated last, cannot be countered except by the effect of Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, and stacks every time this jutsu is used. Description: This technique has two components to its use, both connected to one another. The first is an extension of the Sharingan's ability to remember sights-specifically, the user may "record" a location in their mind, allowing them to recall with perfect clarity the location at the time of the recording. The second ability is a tunnel-the user may create a pair of rifts in space, one at a location the user is focusing on, and the other at a recorded location. These rifts are connected; passing through one will allow you to emerge from the other, effectively creating a portal. Alternatively, the user may create both ends of the tunnel within his line of sight. In either case, the tunnel forms within a single second. Additionally, the orientation of both tunnels is always identical in relation to the surroundings-if one is parallel with the ground, the other will be as well. Entering through one end always results in exiting the opposite end of the other tunnel (i.e, if you enter through the top, you'll fall out the bottom of the opposite tunnel-enter from the bottom, you will exit from the top). Both sides of the tunnel are circular, and about 4 feet wide, though more chakra may be used to expand this width. Looking through the tunnel reveals what is on the other side, and the edges of the tunnel are lined with a shimmering, silvery light. When the tunnel closes or is destroyed, any object currently passing through the tunnel is severed, leaving both halves at the respective exits.

Limitations: The tunnel, regardless of how it was formed, can only stay open for five seconds. The user is also susceptible to the effect of the portal closing on their body.

Weaknesses: Striking either tunnel with a solid object that is too large to pass through will result in both tunnels shattering, as if made of glass. Striking the edges of either tunnel results in both tunnels shattering, as if made of glass.

Drawbacks: Use of this technique damages the user's right eye, inducing bloodloss from the eye and permanently reducing the user's eyesight in the right eye (both clarity and range) by 5%. Description: This technique utilizes an altered version of the tunneling ability to create a shimmering, silver coating over the edge of a blade. This coating functions as an incredibly thin portal. When the user "cuts" an object with this blade, the portion of the object that comes into contact with this portal is transported to a distant, random location. The portions of the object that did not come into contact with the blade are severed from the missing piece. Due to the way this portal blade cuts, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to block the blade.

These shuriken, since they can be thrown, have a much longer range than the user could otherwise manage; additionally, these weapons, due to the way they cut an object, cannot be stopped until they reach the end of their total possible range, and cut everything in their path.

Description: This technique activates automatically if the user attempts to use Susanoo while the Nirvana Sharingan is active. Rather than forming a massive spiritual being around the user's body, this technique compresses the power of Susanoo into the user's body, creating a chakra mode reminiscent of the one used by Jinchuuriki wielding their Akuma Chakra Mode.

The Susanoo Chakra Mode and its related forms coat the user's body in chakra that matches the color of the user's Susanoo, which emanates from them reminiscent of flickering flames; the chakra coats the user's body, hair, and clothing, altering the coloration to that of the user's Susanoo on every surface. Several thick black lines run down the user's clothing in this form, which culminate at the ends of the user's limbs. These lines connect to other lines that encircle the user's hands and feet. Any weapons the user wields in this form appear to be pure black in coloration, and gain the same flickering effect as the rest of the user's body.

While this form is active, the user's attributes are altered in the same way as the normal Susanoo, and the technique retains its defensive properties, allowing the user to retain the full usability of the parent technique and withstand any technique Susanoo could have. This extreme durability extends to the user's weapons wielded in this form. Additionally, the user can manifest any of Susanoo's additional body parts from the appropriate locations on their body, such as extra arms or wings, if applicable to the user's Susanoo. These additional parts are sized appropriately to the user's body. Lastly, while this form is active, the user is capable of levitation, as if they were suspended within Susanoo. The user can move through the air at the same speed they could run. Due to being a form of Susanoo dependent upon a user who has already mastered the technique, this jutsu naturally is less damaging to the user's body.

Description: A rare example of a defensive Rasengan, this technique was born out of the observations of Uchiha Zau in seeing his teammate perform the Hakkeshou Kaiten and the subsequent frustration at his being incapable of copying it. By employing the principles of Rasengan to the basic form of Hakkeshou Kaiten, the user creates a shell of chakra around their body reminiscent of Rasengan. This shell is hollow on the inside, but just like the technique it drew inspiration from, can repel almost any technique that comes into contact with it, as long as the user continues to apply effort to rotating the chakra. As with its predecessor Rasengan, it does not require chakra to maintain; however, while this technique is active, no ability other than the user's basic bloodline abilities (not bloodline jutsu) can be used, as the user must continually rotate the chakra of the shell.

Description: After a series of handseals, the user focuses Katon chakra to the palm of his hand. After gathering the chakra, the user focuses on intensifying the chakra as much as possible, while also keeping it contained; this results in an extremely volatile, incredibly bright sphere of chakra in the user's hand. When this technique strikes an object, it explodes away from the user's palm with incredible force and heat conically for roughly a meter; part of the danger of this technique, however, is the light itself. This technique gained it's name because the chakra gathered becomes incredibly bright, thus making it very difficult to watch this technique, as staring at it is comparable to staring at the sun on a clear day. Anything this light touches will feel a warmth through the light, akin to laying in the sunlight on a nice day.

Drawbacks: The user runs the risk of also blinding himself if he looks into the light. This drawback cannot be removed.

Description: The user's chakra manifests as a large battleaxe-head on the end of Yujin, made entirely of ice. In addition to cutting as one might expect, this axehead can also rapidly lower the temperature of that which it is in contact with, up to two feet in every direction, until it reaches said object's freezing point. Used on already solid objects, this instead has the effect of making the object incredibly brittle after a single post, allowing it to be easily shattered. This does not affect Yujin itself. The axehead remains in place after activation of this technique and need not be maintained; however, the freezing effect needs to have chakra constantly supplied in order to function. Chakra is also applied to remove the axehead, though it can also melt naturally on its own if chakra is not supplied to it.

Description: The user applies their chakra to Yujin, causing it to manifest as a double-sided battleaxe-head made of molten lava. The axe cuts as one might expect, but also burns as one would expect; due to the immense heat within the blade, a single cut is usually fatal, or at least crippling-even a strike with the flat of the blade could be fatal in this way. This technique has the capability of melting almost anything. A further insidious aspect of this technique is that, as the user cuts with the axe, bits of lava are left behind, causing extensive, continuing damage even after the blade has been extracted.

Limitations: -

Weaknesses: Applying water to the blade causes it to rapidly cool and solidify, though it will quickly heat up again as long as chakra is applied.

Drawbacks: The intense heat of the blade radiates outward, and being in its presence is painful, even for the user of the jutsu. As a result, this technique cannot be maintained while in close proximity to the user for more than three posts at a time.

Description: The user raises Yujin to the sky, calling down a bolt of lightning to surround the weapon. This lightning forms a spear-like shape around the blade. The 'spear' resembles a bolt of lightning, forced into a static form, but with long sparks glancing off of it from every direction. When thrown, the spear moves with triple the speed one would expect, relative to the force used to throw it. Due to it being composed of Raiton chakra, the spear has incredible piercing and cutting potential. The spear can be used effectively as a staff or a double-sided sword, as the user can opt to have the sides of the spear not cut if wielded in melee. While the weapon can cut from all sides, it will not cut the user. The lightning remains active even if it leaves the user's grasp, so long as the user continues to supply chakra.

Description: The user applies a combination of their wood chakra and Yang chakra to Yujin, causing a large wooden hook to grow around Yujin. Most of the hook is straight; only the end curves back towards the handle. The inside of the curve is smooth and wide enough to loop around most people's necks. The point of the hook is sharp enough to pierce flesh, and at the point where the hook curves, at the point of the weapon furthest from the user, the hook also comes to a point.

In addition to being a suitable weapon, this form of Yujin is overflowing with life energy; on all but animals and metal surfaces, contact with Yujin while it is in this form causes plantlife to rapidly grow and spread from the point of contact; on stone and earthen materials, this is represented by strong roots growing through the material; on plantlife, this causes the existing plantlife to grow out of control. On water, this causes algae to rapidly spread and cover the water.

Limitations: The user has no control over the spread of plantlife in the area. This limitation cannot be removed.

Name: Kuchiyose: Yomi no Hinote [Summoning: Flames of the Underworld]

Description: The user summons blood red flames from the dimension of the Akuma. In practice, this technique starts off resembling the basic Kuchiyose technique; however, as the user completes their handseals, their fingers become enveloped by the blood red flames they intend to summon. When the user then places their hand on an object, the flames are summoned to coat that object, or, if summoned upon the ground, unleash a wide wave of flame that rapidly spreads.

The flames of the underworld are in some way sentient; they revel in death and destruction, and will spread independently of the user's will towards living beings and large objects, in that order. Once ignited, the flames will resist efforts to extinguish them, moving out of the way of water or dirt used to smother them, and will intelligently burn through whatever obstacles to more oxygen may exist.

These flames have a rather sinister side-effect; the souls of anything slain by the flames are sent to Yomi, the realm of demons; if used on a human, this is a torturous, incredibly evil fate to inflict upon a soul, as it removes that soul from the cycle of reincarnation. If used on a demon, however, these flames prevent the demon from manifesting again on earth-in essence, banishing the demon back to the hell from whence it came with the very flames of that hell.

These flames will ignite whatever the user touches with them, be it another jutsu, a weapon, or a living being; the user can touch these flames after ignition and not be burnt, despite the flames being otherwise outside of their control. The user can end the summoning, dispersing the flames, but doing so disperses all of the flames at once.

Limitations: -

Weaknesses: -

Drawbacks: The flames move towards whatever they can destroy, with a particular eagerness in attacking living beings; the user cannot control the will of these flames, other than to protect themselves; as such, even allies could be attacked by these flames against the user's will. This drawback cannot be removed or lessened in any way.

Appearance: Zasetsu’s handle is a dark steel color, with mesh hatchings in the handle to better facilitate a grip. Every six inches, there is a black metal crossguard, approximately three inches thick and six inches wide. This fastener helps support the weight of the blade on the handle. The blade itself is only sharp on one side-from that side, it slowly widens until it reaches the opposite side of the blade, which is blunt and two inches wide. The edged part of the blade curves upwards at the point.

The blade is made of a unique metal that is black and extremely reflective-one could easily use this blade as a mirror.

Specialties:
The blade is forged of a metal that, in addition to being incredibly durable, is also highly resistant to chakra. Sharpened to an edge, this property allows the blade to literally cut through chakra and materials constructed of chakra. This property applies to all forms of chakra-it cuts through chakra-created stone as easily as it cuts through fire. It is important to note, however, that while the blade cuts chakra, it does not cancel it, nor does it rob it of its forward momentum. Cutting a projectile merely creates two projectiles moving in the same direction as before; cutting a barrier merely creates a cut in the barrier as wide as the blade itself.

Description: Firelung is a poison composed of a great deal of tiny burning particulates, meant to damage the respiratory system of those who inhale it. This poison is designed to interact favorably with the user's Kemuriton techniques; as such, it can be used in conjunction with any technique that directly produces a cloud of smoke. The poison is mixed into the smoke, such that any who inhale the smoke without a suitable filter are subject to the effects of Firelung as well. Once infected, Firelung, as it's name implies, produces an incredible amount of pain within the victim's lungs, as if it were on fire. This poison can cause bleeding along the throat and lungs of a victim if said victim is exposed to the poison for more than a single post. Though this is usually not fatal on its own, the side effects can make fighting back difficult, long after the actual effect of the poison itself has worn off.

Name: Nirvana Sharingan [Release From Saṃsāra Copy Wheel Eye]

Description: The Nirvana Sharingan is a unique mutation of the Sharingan, caused as a result of unique brush with death, interacting with the user's Sharingan's abilities. The user's brief release from life without entering the Pure World causes a brief split from Saṃsāra, thereby awakening a new type of chakra within the eyes. This results in an unheard of ability, representative of the user's temporary release from the cycle of life and death. When manifested, the Nirvana Sharingan resembles the user's Mangekyou Sharingan (Or Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan), but glows with an intense light. The crimson of the iris fades additionally changes hues, becoming a luminous gold instead. The light these eyes glow with is very bright, and cannot be dimmed while the Nirvana Sharingan is active.

The Nirvana Sharingan grants three principle abilities:

~ The ability to see, not chakra, but the very force of life itself. A strong life force, such as those within young people at the prime of their lives, especially if those individuals are of the Uzumaki or Senju clans, shine brightly, even through obstructions. This vitality, viewed as a bright golden light, however, can be seen in all living things, to include even plants. This sight is not as precise as the user's Chakra sight, but can show the user if a subject is injured or close to death.

~ An enhancement to the user's Mangekyou Abilities; in Zau's case specifically, they are as follows:
- Chimata now allows the user to create portals to other dimensions without having been there first; this takes twice as long as normal, requires double chakra, and requires focusing the eye on a being that has been to that dimension before. If the user does not possess Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, the eye damage caused by the technique is doubled.
- Iwayado now functions as a pocket dimension of its own; as such, rules regarding using spacetime ninjutsu to cross dimensions now apply to the space within Iwayado. This ability doubles the cost and cast time of Iwayado, and in addition, if the user does not possess Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, the eye damage caused by the technique is doubled.
- Susanoo can be manifested as armor fitted to the user, carrying the benefits of Susanoo on the armored parts of the user's body (though scaled appropriately down to the user's size). The user can manifest limbs Susanoo possesses that the user does not, such as its wings. Any jutsu that requires Susanoo can be used by the user, though their size is also appropriately scaled down. As before, if the user does not possess Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, the eye damage caused by this technique is doubled.
Note - These abilities can only be used while Nirvana Sharingan is active; if the user only activates Mangekyou Sharingan or Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, the jutsu will be used as they ordinarily are. If the user is currently using Nirvana Sharingan, he MUST use the enhanced version of the technique.

If someone else somehow manages to awaken Nirvana Sharingan as well, they must create their own enhancements to their unique Mangekyou Jutsu, and apply for them as a separate (but free) Kekkei Hen'i. All users receive the same upgrade to Susanoo.

~ Lastly, the user's ability to see chakra in all previous Sharingan forms is vastly improved; specifically, the user can predict the flow of chakra just as easily as he can predict physical movements, and can see the flow of chakra with such precision that the movements of a body can be observed even when obstructed by observing the chakra instead. This allows the user even greater ability to analyze techniques as well, as they can view the precise flow of chakra and understand intuitively how that flow affects the technique. While this has many applications, the chief use allows the user to employ this to copy jutsu with incredible efficiency, potentially copying it before the jutsu is even complete, and without needing to see the handseals. Note that, as Nirvana Sharingan sees lifeforce, not chakra, this ability does NOT apply to Nirvana Sharingan itself, but rather to the forms of Sharingan preceding it.

Activation: This ability is unlocked 1 irl month after completing both of the following conditions:
- Obtained Mangekyou Sharingan
- Returned to life after dying, without entering the Pure World or Limbo

The conditions can be completed in any order, but must both be accomplished before this ability can activate. The user must attempt to use Mangekyou Sharingan after the waiting period is up, at which point, Nirvana Sharingan will activate instead.

Description:
Uchiha Zau is a short, thin boy, with a thick mop of dark, curly hair typically worn in a topknot, with the hair below his ears remaining loose. He has the characteristically black eyes of his Uchiha side. His skin is white, but sun-kissed, owing to his time living in Akarigakure. Zau's features are an attractive mix of harsh and feminine features-his nose and ears are small and possess slight curves, while his bone structure is sharply angled and severe. The first thing most notice about him, however, is his apparent disability-Zau is missing his left arm from the shoulder, lost in a battle with the fearsome Shishimaru.

Zau wears a dark brown, ankle-length cloak that he removes if battles become too heated. Over his torso, he wears a sleeveless off-white shirt, buttoned up to his collarbones, over a long-sleeved mesh shirt, whose left sleeve is left to dangle. The neck of the shirt is tall in typical Uchiha fashion. In the middle of the back of the shirt, the Uchiha crest is proudly emblazoned. In the top red half of the Uchiha crest, however, Zau has embroidered the Kanji for the word Smoke, in honor of the other side of his family, the Kemuri clan. His pants are the same tone as his shirt, and taper to the heel of his shoes. Zau wears dark brown ninja shoes with a high ankle and closed toes. He does not wear his village's headband anywhere on his person, as adjusting it one-armed has proven to be more annoying than it's worth.

Personality:
Zau holds himself in a haughty regard, combining the legendary arrogance of both his Uchiha side with the knowledge that he is a direct descendent of THE Kemuri Zaulyl, one of the greatest heroes of the first demon war, the first Jinchuuriki of Seichi. While this is the public face he shows, in private, Zau is plagued by near constant anxiety and feelings of inferiority. Zau cannot help but compare himself to his incredible relatives, and of course, he typically finds himself in their shadow-a fact that the pride he struggles to exude constantly battles against. He joined the Order of the White Flame in an effort to reconcile these opposing halves of his-extreme pride and crippling self-doubt. Since joining, he has found it easier to temper his arrogance and to lay aside his concerns, but he still struggles. His newfound power, as well as his time with the monks, had given him a warm, patient persona-but his time spent in undeath profoundly changed him, reversing that warmth and replacing it with cold, unfeeling efficiency.

In combat, Zau used to face a violent collision of personas-now, however, he seems uniquely focused and renewed, fighting efficiently and mercilessly.

When he was young, Zau made the decision that he would never kill a defenseless target again; however, his brush with death caused him to discard that oath, to accept it as the foolish words of a child, made in the heat of the moment. He now seeks only to end fights as quickly and efficiently as possible, accepting a new truth that, in disposing of evil, he actively betters the world. He still values his time spent as a monk, and accepts the lessons they taught him as valuable-but having been separated from the cycle of rebirth, Zau no longer cares for letting his enemies cling to life any longer-after all, unlike him, they will one day be reborn.

Background
Uchiha Zau was named for his most famous ancestor, Kemuri Zaulyl. And with that naming, the course of Zau's life was plotted out for him. He could not be allowed to sully the name of that great man-at least, that's what he convinced himself of from a young age. Zau devoted himself to uncovering the mysteries of the legendary figure he took the name of-but this was only compounded by the other half of his name. The Uchiha clan were perhaps the most notorious of all the clans to come to Seichi during the second Demon War, known for their terrifying battle prowess and their haunting crimson eyes. Knowing that he is not only a descendent of Kemuri Zaulyl, but also a prominent member of the Uchiha clan affected Zau from a very young age, and drove the youth towards ninja training, to the delight of his parents and younger brother-how could a product of the Uchiha and Kemuri be anything less than an amazing warrior, after all?

Unsurprisingly, Zau showed an early aptitude for both Fire and Wind Release, owing to his dual heritage. What was surprising, and taken as a sign of a blessing, was that Uchiha Zau's fire altered its natural color early in Zau's life; it became the bright blue, almost white hue Kemuri Zaulyl was known to possess. Zau was emboldened by this knowledge, and strove forth to the Academy to learn the trade of his ancestors and bring more honor to the name Zau.

Zau graduated from the academy without much difficulty, but found himself feeling unfulfilled as he held his village's headband in his hands. He hopes to find greater glory as an official ninja.

Shortly after graduation, he realized that, talented though he may be, those around him could easily prove to be better. Of his teammates, Zau silently considered himself the weakest-Jash was clumsy and, at times, idiotic, but he unlocked his Sharingan before Zau, he was stronger in almost every way than Zau, and he seemingly worked much less at it on top of that. As for Vivian, Zau's more mysterious teammate, she never seemed to have trouble with anything; she could summon before she was even a Genin, she was a notably talented user of the difficult Shadow Clone technique, and she seemed to focus her efforts entirely upon the more challenging aspects of ninjutsu-advanced elements and fuuinjutsu. Compared to them, Zau was lackluster at best.

This realization only spurred him onward, however. Without instruction, and without relying on his newly awakened Sharingan to decode the secrets of the technique, Zau taught himself how to properly use the famous Rasengan. Zau refined his taijutsu skills, accepting that while he may not be the strongest, he was one of the most technical fighters of his generation. Zau copied and adapted the jutsu of those around him, creating a style he could truly call his own. Zau learned a great deal of confidence, and declared a set of principles he would not turn his back on. In many ways, Zau grew considerably during his time as a Genin-and he endeavored to make his time as a Chuunin every bit as worthwhile. Zau joined the Order of the White Flame, both to advance his skills and to learn to control his conflicting personality. Using the discipline and new fighting techniques learned from the monks, Zau refined his skills considerably. Shortly after returning to the village, Zau was promoted to Jounin in recognition of his advanced skills.

Not long into his career as a Jounin, Zau and his teammate Vivian came into contact with the presumed dead hero of Akarigakure, Shishimaru. The dead hero, however, was neither dead nor heroic-in surviving his apparent death, his soul fused with that of a demon, saving his life but irreparably corrupting the man. Zau and Vivian fought bravely against the man, but ultimately lost, with Zau losing his left arm and nearly dying as a result. For a brief period of time, Zau was separated from this world and the cycle of Saṃsāra; this experience deeply affected him, causing him to give up on many of the oaths he had taken as a monk; most notably, this experience led to him accepting the inevitability of death, and the foolishness of trying to decide when it was appropriate to inflict it.

Geigeki Ken [Intercepting Fist]
Description: This style embodies the concept of the best defense being a strong offense, and relies upon closely watching and reacting to an opponent, as well as striking unpredictably by removing physical tells from one's own movements. Once the opponent has made a move, the user is to strike faster than their opponent, in order to disrupt the opponent's movements and guarantee their own strike. In a corollary to the main purpose of the style, the user has also mastered the ability to fight completely without physical tells by keeping their muscles loose and limber, with a light sway providing momentum to their strikes, until just before the intended strike lands, when all of their involved muscles suddenly tense for the strike. Those with eyes that aid in prediction and observation, such as the Sharingan or Byakugan, can easily master the defensive nature of this style.

This technique may be used to move vertically, but it must begin while the user is on a surface they can push off of.
Limitations:
- The user cannot change direction once their movement has begun.
- The user cannot react to threats during their movement. This limitation cannot be removed.

Description: The user forms the clone handseal and creates a clone of themselves. Unlike normal Bunshin, however, this clone is corporeal, and can act on its own. The user splits his chakra evenly with any clones he creates, but also recovers some of the unspent chakra when the clone is defeated. The clones can use any jutsu or Advanced Ability the user can use, except for those that cause a great deal of harm to the body, such as the 8 Gates. Additionally, any experiences or memories the clone has that occurred after its creation are sent back to the user. This does not affect training unless otherwise indicated. Abilities that see chakra cannot differentiate between the user and his clones. The clones can withstand a few hits before dispersing. Shadow Clones also have no range limit, making these clones ideal for espionage. The clone itself provides the needed concentration to maintain this technique. Multiple clones may be created at the same time. Effects utilizing chakra can only be copied if the clone pays the cost as well. The clone may copy the appearance of using those abilities, however, if not doing so would give away the clone's identity.
Drawbacks: The user can only receive a maximum of the chakra used to create the clone -40. *Removed*
Cost: The user's chakra is split evenly among all created clones. A clone must be created with at least 50 chakra in order to remain stable. It may fall below this limit after the fact, but 50 is required for initial creation. The claws on Akago's talons are a glossy black. Akago's beak is yellow hued, with the point sharpened to a razor's edge. His eyes, characteristic of his species, are large, black, and nearly featureless. They reflect most of what they see around them. Akago's plumage is a brilliant red through most of his body, to include that on his head, the majority of his body, and his tail feathers. Between his eyes and on his neck, the plumage lightens slightly to more of a golden-red hue. Akago, like the others trained as steeds, wears a saddle and reins, allowing its rider easier control over the large beast.

While each pact member may have a single unique steed of their own, ability to summon one Niwatoridai also provides the user with the ability to summon other generic members of the species to serve as steeds for one's allies. Niwatoridai are capable of gliding, and while their plumage is typically a single color, they can generally be found in any color imaginable. Niwatoridai are not as intelligent as most summonings, and are more akin to particularly smart horses than the human-like intelligence displayed by most. Each Niwatoridai is summoned equipped with a unique saddle to facilitate riding.

- As this technique is centered on the user, and provides no protection from the inhalation, once this technique is active, the user suffers the breathing penalty just as any other, and cannot escape it. This drawback cannot be removed.

Description: After a series of handseals, the user compresses smoke into several black, smoky chains. These chains are about as thick as two of the user's fingers, and are tipped with a spike. These chains seem to emerge directly from the user's skin or any nearby sources of smoke. The chains are roughly as durable as iron, and can reach up to 30 feet in length. The user can freely control these chains.

Description: This technique does not require handseals, instead requiring a very refined control of one's chakra. The user focuses chakra to the palm of their hand and rotates the chakra in every direction at once, creating a four-inch wide sphere of rapidly spinning chakra. On contact, the Rasengan grinds into its target, propels them along the Rasengan's trajectory, and at some point bursts, causing severe damage at the point of contact. While this technique can be maintained, the rotation of the chakra creates energy for the technique, thereby eliminating the need to use additional chakra to maintain Rasengan.

Rasengatana [Spiraling Sword] *Favored Derivative* - Halved Cost

Requirements: Rasengan ; 60 Chakra Control
Description: The user forces Rasengan to become narrow, elongated, and pointed at one end, resembling a sword (4 feet long from tip of the "handle" to the tip of the blade). The extremely high speed of the rotation over a such a small surface area allows the normally blunt weapon to cut instead, creating distinctive, twisting wounds at the strike point. These abnormal wounds are difficult to heal with chakra, as the abnormal wounds are not familiar to most medics. The user can adjust the thickness of the Rasengatana, creating a thicker weapon that does not cut, but batters instead. Either way, when an ordinary weapon comes into contact with this technique, the high speed of the rotation knocks it away with far more force than the user put behind it, and the constant rotation can cause considerable damage to inanimate objects held against the blade.
This technique can have an element molded into it for an additional 30 chakra; in doing so, the following effects become possible:
Katon - The blade ignites and emits a thin aura of spinning flame. Wounds caused by the blade also burn the target, whether the technique is used as its blunt version or the sharp. The heat caused by this blade also allows it to melt that which it can't cut through.
Suiton - The blade becomes a blade of rapidly spinning water. The blade constantly gives off a small amount of mist, cloaking the movements of the user behind within the cloud produced by the technique. Unlike other uses of mist, this mist gets thicker the closer one gets to the blade, making it difficult to determine whether the Rasengatana is in blunt or blade mode.
Doton - The blade gives off a constant rain of gritty pebbles; this causes the technique to cause painful scraping wounds to those it attacks, even if the target evades the actual blade. This effect is only observed within five inches of the blade, afterwhich the rain of rocks lose much of the momentum this jutsu gives them.
Raiton - The blade gives off an aura of electricity, with sparks running up and down the blade in a rotating pattern. Contact with the blade causes an intense paralysis effect as it forces the victim's muscles to contract. This effect is accompanied by painful shocks.
Fuuton - The blade is converted into thousands of smaller blades, giving the technique a great deal more cutting potential than before; as a result, the blade can cut even when used in its wider, blunt configuration, though the thinner version is still more effective at cutting, and in the thinner configuration, this weapon can cut through almost any defense.
Drawbacks: The extremely high rotation of the blade creates an intense gyroscopic effect, causing slashes to be difficult to stop once in motion, and to cause even small movements to drive the blade in wide, sweeping motions that are difficult to control and redirect. This same effect causes severe stress on the arm that wields the blade, resulting in a great deal of pain when the technique concludes. This gyroscopic effect can be overcome with a Strength exceeding 60 points, and cannot be cancelled in any other way. All downsides of the gyroscopic effect are overcome once one's strength is high enough.

Description: This technique allows a user to turn any part of their body to smoke at will and reconstitute it similarly at will. This makes it nearly impossible to damage them with Taijutsu, and gives them a great resistance to most physical damage from even Ninjutsu. It also provides a great deal of strategic value, allowing a member to move between objects like smoke or attack from a gaseous state.
Limitations:
- To reconstitute, all of the smoke that made up the user's body must be in one location. If dispersed, the user must recollect all of his smoke before becoming solid once more.
Drawbacks:
- The user's body can be easily moved about with Fuuton techniques, preventing reconstitution. This drawback may not be removed.
- This technique counts against the owner's Restricted Jutsu allowance, but does not need additional approvals. This drawback may not be removed.

Rasenshuriken *Favored Derivative* - Halved Cost

Requirements: Rasengan ; 75 Spirituality to throw
Description: The user forms a large Rasengan and expands the chakra while spinning the technique faster than before. This causes 4 spinning blades to emerge from the center of the jutsu, though their high rotation makes them appear to be a disc. The user may then either throw the technique if they are powerful enough or slam the technique into their target. In either case, a large explosion occurs after the technique lands, causing tremendous damage to the victim, but also damaging the user's arm in a similar fashion. If thrown, the user may also remotely expand the blades to cut targets who may have dodged. This expansion reaches 25 feet from the jutsu in all directions.

Interestingly, while Rasenshuriken does not have an element, it cannot be performed in a non-elemental fashion; the user must add one of their own elements to the technique. The jutsu takes on unique effects based on the element added. Only the 5 Base Elements will be explained; all others will be determined when used.

Katon - The blades and the explosion carry with them millions of tiny blasts, capable of blasting a target apart on a cellular level.
Fuuton - The blades and the explosion carry with them millions of tiny needles that directly attack the victim's cells.
Raiton - The blades and the explosion carry with them a paralytic effect, while simultaneously burning the target while other damage is occurring.
Doton - The blades and the explosion carry with them millions of tiny rocks, turning each one into a microscopic bullet of sorts; this can obliterate a target.
Suiton - The blades and the explosion carry with them a powerful torrent of water, capable of grinding away at flesh and bone alike.
Limitations:
-The user may only throw this technique if their Spirituality is high enough. This limitation cannot be removed.
Drawbacks:
-If thrust into a target, the user's arm that was used to deliver the technique suffers the same damage as the victim's body. This weakness cannot be removed.

- The user is better capable of keeping track of fast moving objects; things that seem blurry to the naked eye will now be clear. Vision is precise enough to identify handseals.
- Can recall events witnessed with Sharingan with perfect clarity
- Can copy Nin and Taijutsu (see below for complete rules)

Jutsu Copying
To copy a jutsu, the user must be physically capable of using it, to include the user possessing the necessary element. Secret Clan Techniques and Bloodline techniques may not be learned in this way unless the required conditions of obtaining that technique (typically DNA) are already possessed. Upon observing the handseals used by an individual to initiate the jutsu while the Sharingan is active, the user may reproduce that jutsu on their own. Once temporarily copied, the jutsu in question may be used as often within the next five posts as the user wishes, at which point, the ability to use that particular jutsu is again lost. Only one jutsu may be temporarily copied per five posts.

A jutsu may also be permanently learned in this way, even if it is a Custom creation. To do so, the user must meet all OOC requirements, such as any Advanced Abilities required, possession of the proper elements, or bodily modifications. The user may not copy jutsu that build on another unless they also know the requisite jutsu. To permanently copy a jutsu, the user must have temporarily copied it and then made an effort to commit the technique to memory. The RPer must pay the appropriate Ninja Points that would have been used to learn a jutsu normally in order to copy it.

Name: Kage no Mai

Clan/Organization: Misutsu Clan

Description: The Kage no Mai of the Misutsu clan is a bloodline characterized by the production and manipulation of actual darkness. It grants the user multiple abilities, notably the ability to see through the dark, the ability to manifest a cloud of actual darkness, and the ability to manipulate said darkness in shape and density, so as to create solid objects composed of darkness itself. The bloodline comes with a significant drawback however-use of the bloodline erodes the user's personality while amplifying the darker aspects of their nature. Continued use makes this effect more pronounced, until the user's psyche is irreparably damaged. This negativity is more pronounced while the bloodline is active, but the decay of overuse is irreparable.

Physical expression of the bloodline is indicated by nearby shadows moving towards the user, enveloping him or her, and blackening the skin nearest the eyes. As the user advances in skill in the bloodline, steadily more of their form is covered by these shadows, until in the final stage, the user will appear as a black, featureless form with only the irises of their eyes visible.

Stage 1:

Description: The first stage of the Kage no Mai is the simplest in scope. The user gains the ability to see in the dark with perfect clarity, just as easily as they see in light conditions. They suffer no loss of depth perception, and while there is a blue tint to their vision, they can mostly make out color without issue. This ability functions even if there is no light present. Additionally, the user's body expels a thin shadow mist. This mist only extends from the user's body for a few feet, but disguises their movements within the shadows. This mist also conforms to the shapes around it, selectively shifting its form to better disguise the user. The user can see through this mist, but cannot deactivate it without deactivating the bloodline entirely. The mist absorbs light around it, though it can be overpowered with direct sunlight or a light of equivalent intensity. This mist follows the user, with the user always found in the center of the cloud.

Physically, this bloodline is represented by the flesh around the user's eyes turning pitch black and featureless, such that it resembles a robber's mask.

Activation: Once a Misutsu reaches puberty, the Kage no Mai may activate. In order to do so, the Misutsu must acknowledge an inner darkness they are willing to explore. Afterwards, should the member experience an intense negative emotion, the bloodline will immediately manifest.

Requirements: None

Strengths:
- Ability to see through the dark
- Ability to manifest a small cloud of shadow mist

Weakness:
- The shadow mist can be overcome by exposure to sunlight; the mist is still present, but it is not visible.

Limitations:

Stage 2:

Description: In this stage, the user's control over the shadow mist has expanded. They are capable of extending and distending the mist, actively taking a role in the form of their shroud. Additionally, while the mist still follows the user if they move, the user can move several feet from the center of the mist without shifting the entire cloud, allowing them to further disguise their location.

The mist has gained a new ability, however-if an object other than the user enters the mist, the shadows within will rapidly solidify and stand in the way of the user and that object; this ability is fast enough to catch most projectiles, and strong enough to withstand at least a single hit from most genin-level attacks. This defense acts intelligently, and will block as many attacks with a single movement as possible. The user can force this ability to not trigger, but doing so takes actively suppressing the ability, and deactivates it from every direction at once, robbing the user of a powerful defense.

Physically, this stage is represented by the user's skin completely turning black and featureless. Their clothes and hair are still visible as normal, as are their eyes.

Activation: The user continues to explore the darkness in their heart, and opens themselves up to further negativity. The bloodline advances during a period of an extreme emotional low.

Requirements: Kage no Mai Stage 1

Strengths:
- Can extend mist 10 feet in any direction
- Can freely control shape of mist (automatic shifting still occurs if the user doesn't actively control it)
- User gains an automatic defense from the mist.

Weaknesses
- The shadow mist can be overcome by exposure to sunlight; the mist is still present, but it is not visible. If overcome, all subsequent abilities of the mist cannot be used.

Limitations:
- Use of the bloodline erodes the user's personality. This effect is more pronounced during active use, but constant erosion applies even outside of the bloodline. This effect becomes more pronounced the longer the bloodline is used, and the exact rate of decay varies from person to person.

Costs: 2 AA ; 40 to activate, 5 to maintain ; 20 per post to actively alter shape of mist ; 20 every time the mist defends automatically, 10 per post to suppress the defense

Final Stage:

Description: The final stage of the Kage no Mai gives the user absolute control over the mist, allowing them to create nearly any shape by manipulating the mist; they may also selectively solidify the mist, creating objects of comparable durability to that of their automatic defense. Additionally, the mist becomes more capable of absorbing light, now only falling to direct, high intensity light-even sunlight is no longer sufficient to completely erode the shadows. Even directed, high intensity light can only serve to brighten this intense darkness to the level of a dimly lit room at best. As the mist can no longer be entirely negated, neither can its abilities. That being said, if the mist is brightened, its solid form becomes less substantial, becoming akin to water at the weakest.

Additionally, the standard size of the mist has increased to twenty feet around the user. The user can now freely move within the mist, and even leave the cloud entirely without moving the cloud as well. The user has absolute control over the form of the mist, and can apply his ability manipulate the shape of his mist to nearby shadows as well. The user cannot apply their ability to manifest solid objects to shadows not created by their bloodline.

Physically, this stage is expressed as the user's entire form, except for the irises of their eyes, being entirely enveloped in an inky black coating that completely hides any features, even from the user's clothes.

Activation: The user must fully accept, understand, and accept the darkness within them. Upon doing so, the abilities of their bloodline are fully unlocked.

Requirements: Kage no Mai Stage 2

Strengths:
- Mist extends to 20 feet naturally
- User gains the ability to create solid shapes within the mist
- User gains the ability to leave the mist as they see fit
- User gains complete control over the shape of the mist, and can extend this aspect of their ability to natural shadows
- The mist can no longer be completely defeated by contact with light

Weakness:
- None

Limitations:
- Use of the bloodline erodes the user's personality. This effect is more pronounced during active use, but constant erosion applies even outside of the bloodline. This effect becomes more pronounced the longer the bloodline is used, and the exact rate of decay varies from person to person. By this stage, the user's personality has typically eroded completely.

Costs: 2 AA Points; 50 to activate, 10 to maintain ; 20 per post to actively alter shape of mist/shadows ; 15 every time the mist defends automatically, 10 per post to suppress the defense ; 40 to create object from mist
