Taijutsu


Taijutsu, or Body Techniques, are abilities that use martial arts and enhanced striking abilities to deal damage. These differ from Ninjutsu in that they typically do not have much of a charge up time, and very rarely require handseals, making them much faster. Additionally, the power of Taijutsu is largely dependent upon the user's attributes, making even low-ranking Taijutsu potentially far more devastating than their Ninjutsu counterparts.

However, Taijutsu is not as versatile as Ninjutsu, and usually is high risk, since it typically requires direct contact with the target. Taijutsu is only divided in two different ways, as opposed to Ninjutsu; it is either standard Taijutsu, or it is Bukijutsu, techniques that utilize weapons.

Taijutsu is divided in rank from D to S, though D-rank techniques are no more powerful than a normal person could accomplish, and offer no enhancement that chakra would typically provide; as such, they also do not cost chakra. Using a D-ranked Taijutsu is superior to simply copying the technique by observation, however, as it provides better form, allowing the technique to hit slightly harder than non-ranked Taijutsu. Every ranked Taijutsu above D requires chakra as every other type of jutsu would.

Description: The user creates a single clone and reaches behind them. The clone runs up behind the user and jumps into the air, after which the user grabs the front of the clone's shirt and whips forward, throwing the clone towards an opponent. The clone is thrown with great force, quickly clearing the distance and becoming a large projectile.

Bunshin Hashigo [Clone Ladder]

Description: The user forms two clones who attack an opponent simultaneously, knocking the target into the air. One clone climbs atop another, who continues the attacks, forcing the opponent up further. The user then runs up both clones, jumping high into the air to deliver a final powerful blow to the opponent, driving the target back to the ground.

Bunshin Kaiten Kakato Otoshi [Clone Spinning Heel Drop]

Description: The user creates at least one clone, though the exact number is up to the user. Using chakra to propel them higher, faster, the user and his clones leap high into the air, spinning head over heel towards the opponent. One by one, they each deliver a powerful heel kick to the target's shoulders and head.

Description: The user creates a pair of clones, then grabs one by the feet, who grabs the other by their feet. The user spins around and slams the clones into the opponent. Chakra is utilized to accelerate the spin beyond what would ordinarily be possible. The clones then lay on the target, keeping it from moving.

Gatsuuga [Fang Passing Fang]

Description: This technique is similar to Tsuuga, but is done simultaneously with the user's animal companion. This allows the user and his pet to attack from many different angles at once. Only the human user requires this jutsu. Additionally, when this jutsu is owned, the user's pet gains the jutsu "Tsuuga" for free.

Gekiha Houyou [Crushing Hug]

Requirements: None.
Description: The user wraps his arms around his opponent's body or both body and arms, and then crushes him. The air will escape the opponent's lungs and they won't be able to breath. Afterward, their body will be stiff for awhile. With impressive strength weak bones may even break.

Hayabusa Otoshi [Peregrine Falcon Drop]

Description: After knocking the target airborne, the user leaps after them. The user will grab the opponent by the waist, hooking their feet around either side of the target's head. The user then directs the fall so that all of the force of it is directed right to the target's head as they hit the ground.

Description: After the opponent has become airborne, the user jumps up after them, clearing the distance almost immediately. The user appears behind the target. This technique by itself is harmless, but can be used to set up a far more devastating assault than otherwise possible.

Requirements: Ceiling or other solid surface overhead
Description: The user ducks down low under an opponent's attack, then jumps straight up, taking the opponent with them. Using chakra to propel the jump further, the user carries the target up to the ceiling, where they slam the opponent upwards. The user then lets the opponent fall to the ground freely.

Description: The user flows chakra to their legs, allowing them to push off of the wall to reach the ground or their opponent faster than gravity might allow. This can also be used on midair objects to jump to higher levels.

While in the air, still holding onto the opponent the user pulls back, and doing 1-2 somersault revolutions, uses the added momentum to whip the opponent into the ground, followed by the user driving his knees into the opponent with the added momentum from the fall as well.

Description: The user leaps into the air, clearing the distance between themselves and their airborne opponent in a practically instant blur and positioning themselves above the opponent. They then deliver a powerful melee attack that send the victim crashing straight down into the ground at high speed.
Limitations: The enemy must be in the air, and the user must have a clear path to them. This limitation cannot be removed.
Weaknesses: The user's descent isn’t accelerated, they may be vulnerable up in the air after the attack. This weakness cannot be removed.

Description: The user rapidly spins as he moves through the air, creating a tornado-like effect around their body. Upon contact with the target, the user makes many ferocious attacks in a short time span, with enough force on its own to tear into tree trunks. Use of this technique allows the user to move through the air in an arc towards the target, though this cannot change direction without contacting another surface, meaning it is not true flight.

Ukigumo - Tsumuji Issen [Floating Cloud - Spiral Flash]

Description: Ukigumo - Tsumuji Issen is a throwing technique which uses an opponent’s momentum to push him backwards and upwards into a spinning flip. This is done by the user grabbing onto the opponent's shoulder while locking one foot behind the opposite leg and ankle, then flipping oneself into the air, bringing the opponent with them before knocking them into the ground.
Limitation: If not performed correctly or if the strength of the opponent is above 50 then it won't work unless they are off balance.

Akuki Rendan [Devil's Combo]

Description: This jutsu begins with a large speed burst from the user, temporarily increasing their speed by 20 points. Using this speed, the user uppercuts the enemy in the jaw sending him flying through the air. Then the user will then jump up below him grabbing both of his ankles. He will then throw the opponent head first with full strength into the ground. With enough strength this move could possible send the enemy several feet beneath the earth.

Kanfuu Nigiri [Kung Fu Grip]

Requirements: Strength of 30 or higher.
Description: The user wraps their hand around an object and uses their impressive strength to crush down on it. This is a truly impressive feat of grip strength, being able to crush steel like it is wet clay.
Limitations: The user must have a firm grip on the target to use this technique. This limitation cannot be removed.

Description: The user grabs the opponent by the feet or shirt. The user then begins to rapidly spin, using their momentum and their great strength to throw the target dozens of meters away.

Description: Utilizing a large amount of strength and force the user performs a exaggerated sweeping chop motion as a crescent blade shaped shock wave is expelled at short range that results in a punching force traveling through the air in the opponent's direction a short distance. With impressive strength, this technique could be quite devastating. The crescent blade shock wave itself is twice the length of the users arm, that moves forward in the direction/angle of the sweeping chop motion and while blade shape, aims more to pulverizes what it hits over cut through, like a blunt sword.
Weaknesses: Anything that would stop the exaggerated sweeping chop motion before it can be completed stops the shock wave from being formed.
Cost: 70

Kousa Hou [Intersection Method]

Requirements: None
Description: The user drives their knee up and their elbow down to catch an opposing taijutsu strike between the two limbs. This can dissipate a great deal of the force, allowing the user to counter the attack if he can catch it.
Drawbacks: This technique is very risky; if your Agility is lower than the target's Speed, their attack can get through, hitting you anyways; likewise, even if you do successfully catch the attack, this invariably puts you within range of another attack, though this time without the use of two of your limbs. This drawback cannot be removed.
Cost: 40 + half the cost of the taijutsu being countered

Konoha Tsumujikaze [Leaf Coiling Wind]

Requirements: None
Description: The user performs a handstand and rapidly spins, kicking at the opponent multiple times. Even one kick is enough to severely damage an individual's body, and the speed and unpredictable nature of this attack makes it difficult to escape unscathed.

Konoha Daisenkou [Leaf Great Flash]

Requirements: None
Description: The user charges at an opponent, then, once the user is within 20 meters of the target, leaps the rest of the way at twice their normal speed. While in midair, the user then delivers a powerful roundhouse kick to the opponent's head.

Konoha Daisenpuu [Leaf Great Whirlwind]

Description: This technique is a series of four spinning kicks, each aimed to further destabilize the opponent. The user begins with a low sweep, continues their momentum to kick at the opponent's midsection, continues through again to strike at their opponent's head, and finally slightly alters their spin to deliver a heel kick to the opponent's shoulder.

Description: The user gathers chakra to their fist to prepare for a single powerful attack. The user then punches straight down, crashing into the ground and ripping it into boulders that jut up from the ground due to the impact, resembling a cherry blossom. This can throw smaller boulders and nearby opponents into the air due to the shockwave. Obviously, used against an opponent instead of the ground, this technique could be very dangerous.

Shiatsu [Finger Pressure]

Requirements: 50 Strength; Chakra Control 25
Description: Requiring very precise chakra control, more than the well-known Oukashou [Cherry Blossom Impact], the user concentrates their chakra in a single finger. The user then taps that finger on the ground, releasing so much force that they literally create a fissure 20 feet long. This can trip charging targets or create force to repel attackers, but if the finger were to impact a person directly the damage could be severe.
Limitations: This is limited to one finger at a time. This cannot be removed but can be used from separate hands if favored

Requirement: A large object in both hands
Description: The user lifts a massive object and hurls it far away at a frighteningly tremendous speed. This technique doubles the user's Strength for the purpose of lifting and throwing the object.

Daichiwari [Earth Splitting]

Requirements: Oukashou
Description: After performing Oukashou, the user rapidly hops from rock to rock to rise through the air after an opponent. The user then punches at the target, sending them back to the ground powerfully enough to embed the target within one of the newly created boulders.

Garouga [Fang Wolf Fang]
Rank: A
Requirements: Jinju Konbi Henge: Soutourou
Description: While in the two headed wolf state, the user begins spinning rapidly, as if using Tsuuga. This technique is much faster and far more powerful, however; in addition to targets who come into contact with the tornado being ripped apart, the incredible rotation creates a vortex around the tornado itself, both pulling objects in and cutting them without physical contact.
Drawbacks: The rotation makes it impossible to see a target; the user must therefore have some other way of tracking a target's location.

Gatenga [Fang Rotating Fang]

Requirements: Gatsuuga; Animal Companion
Description: The user and his animal companion begin spinning head over heel towards a target, enveloping themselves in a whirlwind-like effect shaped like a buzzsaw. Rolling along the ground in this fashion, the user and their companion unleash a great deal of terrible attacks against any enemy they contact, with enough force to literally tear stone apart. Only the human user needs this jutsu.

Haru no Shuurai [Coming of Spring Kick]

Requirements: Hyakukei Senkou ; 60 Speed
Description: After performing Hyakukei Senkou to send the opponent flying, the user enhances their speed with their chakra, outrunning the flying target to reach the end of the target's flight. With perfect timing, the user performs a backwards spinning kick towards the ground, catching the opponent with the kick just as they reach the user. The kick slams the target into the ground with enough force to break stone.

Hyakukei Senkou [100 Meter Punch]

Requirements: 50 Strength
Description: The user winds up powerfully, then unleashes their strength in a single powerful punch at the opponent. This punch is powerful enough to launch an opponent one hundred meters away, hence the name.

Requirements: Konoha Senpuu
Description: The user unleashes an incredibly fast roundhouse kick at twice their normal attacking speed. In addition to striking with amazing power, this technique generates a literal whirlwind around the user, repelling attackers who were not struck by the kick.

Description: This technique is simply a very fast punch, made at a speed that breaks the sound barrier. The technique combines 3-steps focusing on balance, speed and awareness. Once the practitioner is ready, he focuses all of his energy while maintaining his center of balance and delivers a punch at three times speed. A split second after the punch, there will be a audible pop sound.

Nagare Kage Ashi [Flowing Shadow Feet]

Requirements: 60 speed
Description: By moving faster than usual in a confined area, the user creates a series of afterimages, making it difficult to predict where his next attack will come from and making the user difficult to hit. Even those with perfect vision will find it difficult to follow the movements. It ends when the user attacks, however.
Limitation There is a brief moment between the movement and the attack when the user has to pause to center themselves.

Raigyaku Suihei [Lightning Oppression Horizontal]

Description: The user throws a backhanded chop horizontally at the opponent. This is done with enough force, however, to send the opponent flying. The user can also amplify the technique with Raiton chakra, which turns the chop into a slash, with enough force to cut deeply into an opponent.

Rairiatto [Lightning Plough Hot Sword / Lariat]

Description: The user charges the opponent, at the last second stepping to the side. They then extend their arm to hook it around the target. With a powerful thrust of the arm, the target is thrown to the ground, with the force to plow through the earth. If the user possesses the Raiton element, they may also coat their arm with lightning beforehand, which allows the technique to blast through a target as well, potentially ripping wide, fatal chest wounds in the foe.

Shiatsu: Otoshimasu [Finger Pressure: Flick]

Description: Requiring an increase in chakra control, more than the predecessor Finger Pressure, the user concentrates their chakra between their thumb and middle finger. The user then flicks their finger, releasing so much force that they literally create a shockwave. This can send a force great enough to repel attacks or knock a person back quite a few meters, but if the flick were to impact a person directly the damage could be severe.
Limitations: This is limited to one finger at a time. This cannot be removed but can be used from separate hands if favored.

Description: Two users of Rairiatto attack an opponent from both sides, both enhancing their techniques with Raiton chakra. As they strike, they angle their blows towards the target's neck. Should the attacks hit, the target will be beheaded.
Limitations: The users' Strength and Spirituality attributes must be within 10 points of the other user's Strength and Spirituality. The technique would still likely be fatal even if it weren't, but the weaker user may also be injured. This limitation cannot be removed.

Description: Senkōken combines taijustu with the ninjutsu Shunshin to create a Nintaijutsu. In only a matter of an instant, the user traverses the distance between himself and the opponent and unleashes a single punch at a supernatural speed and power. The punch renders most attempts at defense useless. However, there is a second half to the attack; should the punch miss, the immense force of the punch bulldozes the air in front of it and creates a powerful wide concussive wave. A couple seconds after the punch there will be a audible thunderous crack sound. It is extremely taxing on the body to use, however.
Limitations: Senkoken has the same limitations of Shunshin no Jutsu.
Drawbacks: This technique leaves the user feeling exhausted. Multiple uses of this technique will break the user's arm. This drawback cannot be removed.

Description: A technique of mobility, the user moves at a supernatural speed, allowing one to move long distances on foot. The technique itself is tied directly to ones speed, with the user being able to take a total number of steps, with each step equal to 15 meters, equal to their speed stat.
Limitations Using the technique requires a continuing forward motion.
Weaknesses: Requires a great deal of concentration from the user to move around obstacles and concentration on ones surroundings; no other jutsu can be maintained during the movement. (This drawback cannot be removed)

Kuzuryuusen [Nine-Headed Dragon Flash]

Description: A dashing technique making use of the user's incredible speed, this technique is 9 strikes performed so rapidly that they seem to land simultaneously. Each strike made is aimed at a vital spot, making a successful strike an almost assured victory, and the speed at which the attack is delivered makes it almost impossible to dodge every strike. The strikes are a downward blow aimed at the head, a diagonal strike aimed down towards the right shoulder, a side strike aimed at the center of the right arm, a diagonal strike aimed at the right wrist, an upward strike aimed at the groin, three strikes against the left arm identical to the three aimed at the right, and finally, a thrust at the breastbone. While these slashes are technically performed in a clockwise motion from the user's perspective ending with the thrust, the speed at which they're performed makes it impossible to know which hits first. For this attack, the user's speed in regards to striking is enhanced by 50 points.

Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki [Flash of the Heavenly Soaring Dragon]

Description: This technique is simply a slash, but it is a slash of such speed and power that no other kenjutsu technique compares. When the user slashes with this technique, its force is so great that no armor may stop it. Additionally, it moves so quickly that to most, the user simply vanishes; even to those with perfect Perception, the user still appears to be moving as a blur. The slash renders most attempts at defense useless. However, there is a second half to the attack; should the first strike miss, the immense force of the slash cuts the air in front of it and creates a powerful vacuum. An opponent who deflects or dodges the first swing is drawn in towards the vacuum, which happens to be right in front of the user-and in the case of a missed swing, the immense force from the attack simply leads to an accelerated spin with the blade extended that is then even more likely to hit the target. The vacuum pulls on both the victim and the sword, making the second strike even more powerful than the first.
Drawbacks: This kind of power comes at a price. When the user slashes with this technique, successfully striking an opponent with the first attack disables the arm that used the slash for one year (1 month, OOC); Completing the second slash permanently renders the user's arm disabled. In the unlikely event that both strikes should miss, the user's arm will be spared, but the centrifugal force of the technique renders the user unconscious. This drawback may be lessened; if that is done, the first slash disables the arm for only half a year, or two weeks, OOC, and the second slash disables the arm for 1 year OOC.

Description: Buki Senkōkougeki combines taijustu with the ninjutsu Shunshin to create a Ninbukijutsu. In only a matter of an instant, the user traverses the distance between himself and the opponent and unleashes a Iaidou attack at a supernatural speed and power. The attack renders most attempts at defense useless. However, there is a second half to the attack; should the attack miss, the immense force of the slash cuts the air in front of it and creates a powerful wide concussive wave. A couple seconds after the attack there will be a audible thunderous a high-pitched dissonance, somewhat akin to the sound of metal being ground. It is extremely taxing on the body to use, however.
Limitations: Buki Senkōkougeki has the same limitations of Shunshin no Jutsu.
Drawbacks: This technique leaves the user feeling exhausted, and can only be used once per thread. This drawback cannot be removed.
